Thought we would take "Big Blue"... out for a run and try ever thing out... could have done it on the drive at home... (Little Blue is my Honda Jazz, cos that is Blue as well.)..

But thought good time to give it a try... Every thing works as it should... (y) The only downside is......

I think it is the same gearbox as we had in our 2012 tag axle Rapido 1001...... But I don`t remember that hesitating on the upward gear change.... It`s as if you have put the brakes on ever so slightly as it changes... any one else have this...??

Not tried the manual side yet...

Only did about 30 miles, and ended up at B&Q getting some gear for my next project.... but it was nice to get out.... even though it poured with rain and was thick mist.. :frowny:

All booked up for a secret hideaway for next Thursday for a few day`s.:beerchug::beerchug::drink:.... and then a week or so after a long week some where while the builders rip out our new bathroom at home and build a new one that suits us...

Finding it very hard to find nice quiet sites to unwind and de-stress... within a couple of hours from home...

Are the site owners getting greedy or is it me...... used to paying about £10 -£12.. per night for a basic non EHU... but now they are all over £20... Or those that are about £12 - £16 are booked solid for weeks...

Anyway a few Misty/Murky photo`s of todays run out... (Had a gorgeous Crab Sarnie.. :cooler:(y)..)

Good to see you out, like you say prices have gone up every where, but eventually I'm sure you will find a few to your liking and peaceful.
Big Blue looks very good.

Best try manual shift, I have no knowledge of the Fiat box but my dad had a Mitsubishi colt (car) with that type of gearbox and that was much better shifted manually.

Beautiful Dorset, even in the mist! Hope you enjoy your secre weekend, and yes, prices are a bit steep but, supply and demand you know, and if people are prepared to pay "silly" prices to park in a field that's what you charge!

I used to use the manual in my Rapido.... cos we were towing a 4 wheeled trailer and a Toyota Aygo...

So liked to be in charge of gears especially going down steep hill`s..

Hence asking the question about the auto.... I just cannot remember... :crying1:

We’re coming to West Bay next week Mo, been twice before and love the area. Swanage, Lyme Regis. About 5 years ago. Any tips for nice places to see Mo

I take it you have the Comfomatic box, if its not done many miles they get better after 10,000 - 12,000. The software is set up for a fully run in engine which Fiat consider to be 15,000 miles.

It`s changed quiet a lot even the four years or so that we have been away...

There are so many places to go and things to see..

Depends on what floats your boat.... Museums... Monkey World... Lulworth Cove..

The list is endless..

Hope you have already booked your site-s...

Enjoy yourselves... :drinks::hugs:(y)

Some idea`s here = https://www.visit-dorset.com/things-to-do

Cheers Lenny......... It has just gone over the 15K...

I will do a few trips and see if it settles and perhaps get it looked at...

Might just be me not used to it..

You haven't got the hill climb button pressed have you Mo as that will mean it takes longer to change up?

Probably you not used to it they are a bit different to a normal auto you soon get used to it.

We’re in Wales just now and one odd thing I’ve noticed is most want an extra £5/6 for WiFi, have come across the odd site charging previously but down here it seems to be most.

I don`t think so, Mel.....

Mind... not sure if I have one...

I presume you have checked the van rolls easily and the brakes are not sticking as that would fit with your description.

Free as a bird, thanks...

Not checked yet.... not been out to the van today... but Minxy Girl `s suggestion may have hit the nail on the head...

I remember the button in front of the gear lever...

Will check tomorrow after this horrendous storm they predict will hit us tonight.. passes... :Eeek: :frowny:

It's only active after pressing the button with engine running, it turns off when you stop the engine. So it can not have been on unless you switched it on.

Get Judy to check as I'm sure she's used to pressing various buttons for you seeing as most men only know how to do the basic operation of one piece of apparatus with buttons ... the tv remote!

It will take a little getting used to Mo, they do say that the gearbox learns from your style of driving…. Mine had 35k on when I bought it and it did change and get better for me and my style…👍🏼

How nice to see Judy with her beautiful smile! Happy you're out and about Mo and hope you will enjoy your future trips!
Lots of love
Frankie xxxxx

When you going to hop on a plane and come and see us again, Frankie..??(y)

Got your bedroom all ready...

And I still have a couple of your Gaz bottles you left last time... :giggler:

Take care.... :hugs::*:*
