Dear Panel......have any of you used the glue-filler stuff derived from dental filler and cured by an ultra violet torch ? Some components made of pvc show hairline cracks on my seven-year old bus. I won’t be doing my tooth fillings.....honest. Al

This glue sniffing must be addictive. Me too!

Dunno if it’s from dental filler, but if it’s what you mean then yes.....

Picked one hell of a day to give up glue sniffing !

DIY dental stuff, I think its called Fuji 9, I haven't tried it myself but vaguely recall someone else using it on a van but cant remember where.

Gerby.....where in the weld or where on the van ?

it was quite a while ago, think it was as a filler on very fine cracks in the plastic, I have looked to see if I could find it (it wasn't on this forum) but not had any luck, I also don't remember them mentioning ultra violet light I think it was more of a setting filler, I do think it is quite expensive when compared to normal fine bodywork fillers (and gel coats etc) and is designed specifically for bonding to teeth (enamel) so I would question just how effective it would be on PVC but as I said I am no expert on this I just have a recollection of reading somewhere that someone had tried it (I don't even remember how successful it was)

Found it on tinterweb.....Bondic. Al:cool:

I use UV bond superglue on all sorts of plastic and it is brilliant stuff
