Since 2012
It's been 13 months since we were over there, and miss it like crazy. I'd go back as soon as it's allowed and we've had both jags, wife a bit more cautious. Wont be going this year, but hopefully in 2022.
Just wondering what plans others have for taking van abroad.

BF booked to Santander late August. 🤞🏻

Thinking about it. Planning all sorts of journeys and dreaming. I am thinking the probable issue will be which countries will let us in and what loopholes might we have to jump through? Our government saying we can leave the UK is different to another country saying we can enter. Just have to wait and see.

All right for you lot. I don't even have a motorhome yet, because of Covid19. The plan was to buy last November. Now the dealerships are just about to open, but anything that looks interesting seems to have a deposit slapped on it within a day or two of the ad appearing. And I'm guessing there is not likely to be much discounting going on either. Bugger!!

The way the numties are handling there vaccination programme I doubt we'll be going over the water for a while yet.
I read a quote yesterday from a French newspaper that proudly said three new vaccination centres had been opened in villages in the Aude region.
In March they gave out 500 doses of vaccine.
The vaccination centre in our local village in Suffolk is dishing out over 400 per DAY.
We might get back to Aude in a couple of years time at their rate. :banghead:

Richard.

Booked for mid December in southern Spain for our 90 days of winter sun. Cant see us being allowed across the sea much before then cos of their infection rates and slow vaccine rates whatever the cause. Also not sure I would wish to go into a still highly infected population till then even with both my jabs as nothing guaranteed with any vaccination. Hopeful for December though

The airlines and holiday companies are advertising summer hols, Boris has said that he is not going to be swayed from his program, the outdoor season is coming and we have had vaccines. I am fully expecting to squeeze a decent trip in from June onwards,

This time last year we were all sat in our gardens worried to death no chance of a holiday anywhere. End of july we were of to south of france felt safe no problem. So lets hope for the same Spain indicated they were willing to accept half the usual holiday makers this year 40 million. But it depends on infection rate declining massively.

I had my 2nd jab today, hopefully the wife will get hers in the next couple of weeks, after that if it was up to me I'd be across the water in June or July. However, which I can understand, the wife is a bit more hesitant, so probably we'll be off early September that's assuming our friends in Europe get a move on with their vaccinations.

I'm staying in the UK and getting my 2nd jab and having multiple holidays. Europe seems to be a mire of covid.
I dare not risk UK,,it's dangerous going for a walk with all the people about who either think Covid is over or they are just plain stupid..Felt much safer last Sept Oct in France and Spain mainly because there was space to isolate..BUSBY.

Last trip was Spain and Portugal in late 2019. Looking forward to going back in September 2021 hopefully! Twice deferred trip via Brittany Ferries - Plymouth to Santander

My wife still works & at the moment booking dates is a real hit or a miss , but I am hoping for the month of September in France if at all possible

Who knows? If we are allowed and the rates are down then we will go in summer or October. Otherwise it will be 2022. That might suit as likely to have building project underway in uk. I guess this pandemic had taught me to 1) take opportunities when you can and 2) don’t plan anything you can’t get out of!

The Netherlands a week or so ago........and we’re desperate to get out and see two of our Grandkids.

21st Sept tunnel booked but will wait n see what happens Covid wise

next week is going to be absolute bedlam all over the UK judging by the no. of motorhomes I’ve seen today on the Yorkshire coast roads, and I mean a lot

We may if allowed try Croatia May/June if ok to travel possibly venturing into northern Spain before coming home for our summer

Both doses of vaccine ? Isn’t there supposed to be a booster required by the autumn ?!?
This time last year we were in lockdown, and vaccines were just being talked about, we still had a 3/4 week holiday in France in July and the same in Germany in October and bought and registerd a new ( to us) Mh from Luxembourg in the middle of it.

We’re still hoping for Croatia at the end of June, they’re preparing to welcome tourists if they’ve had both jabs 14 days before entry, or a negative test or have HAD covid in the past 180 days🤞🤞
