Firstly welcome,
secondly you are not going to find a useable 6 berth 6 seat belted motorhome under 3500 kgs
I have a rollerteam 690. 6 berth 6 seat belts and the ability to carry a motorbike.
I also have a portable weighbridge.
I have an awning, extra battery, solar panel, tv and i take cutlery and saucepans with me.
Now if i want to take the motorbike at 102 kgs and the crash helmet i have to forfeit any water, passengers and can only carry 19 litres of diesel. (never mind clothes or passenger 3,4, 5 or 6
Make sure you have C1 on your licence and uprate the vehicle if it has capability or buy one over.

Good luck

You may be better off with an MPV/SUV and a Caravelair Antares 476 or 496.
Marquis Caravans down in Poole have them in stock.

Welcome to the fun house Paul! :)

In order to get a 6 berth with 6 travelling seats you'll need a C1 category on your licence, if not then you'd need to take the test which I understands costs in the region of £1000. Unfortunately without this you won't be able to drive a large MH as they will all be over 3500kg.

If you DO have this, or are planning on getting it, then when you look for a MH check the payload ... even some over 3500kg may have a pitiful payload and don't believe the brochures, if you have particular models in mind give the details on here and you'll get honest opinions on them.

Welcome - as has been said - if you see one at 3500kgs (e.g. CI Carioca 656 on a Fiat) make sure you have it weighed. We got caught out with one and had to upgrade to 3700kgs just to get 4 people to travel legally.

IF you have a C1 licence. you can drive up to 7.5ton .. if you don't it would be worth while training and passing the test.. If you passed your test before 1997 you should already have C1 entitlement

Then you can consider a USRV.. plenty of payload and space for 6 , and some lovely C class models that are under the magic 28ft . You get a lot of motorhome for your money..

My first Euramobil had six belted seats and slept six (and was overweight).

Getting better month by month.
:welco:
I have a 6 / 6 MH. It was rated at 3500Kg but we uprated to 3850Kg. With just the two of us, two Labrador dogs, all holiday stuff and full Diesel and Water, it weighs in at 3660Kg. So if you use it for 6 people as well as all their gear you will need a MH with a decent payload which will entail a C1 licence.

One thing we have found is when they say six berths, all may not be adult berths. 2 of ours are based on converting the front dinette to a sleeping area. This will take what I would regard as the average child to about ten years of age. Also, check the roof space if an over cab bed, they are usually adult size, but some may find the front berth on the over cab claustrophobic on some vans.
As many have noted above, weights are going to be your major issue to address. Even at 4.500 kg we struggle with six on board to keep to it.
