When I collected my motorhome I realised that the new daylight running lights made the headlamps look dim and yellow, it just spoiled the aesthetics of it all, I also saw that the front indicators were dim and not filling the reflector with light, SO I took action and this is the result, if you want to know how you can do it let me know, its a 10 min job and if you know what you are doing and the parts are cheap as well (y) If you want the bulbs they are free next working day delivery if ordered before 2pm, total cost for the 6 bulbs with 3yr guarantee is £115.18 including 10% off as I am a regular customer, but if anyone was interested maybe they would give me a code so others can benefit as well, every little helps :)

You will see a selection of photos including before and after here including old indicator and new, new is O/S and old is N/S but I think its obvious!

It's looks like a xmas tree. Lol
Trust you are using correct wattage bulbs, some are not legal as too bright. (y)
As your mot is 3 years away you may get away with it.

All legal and a proper company who specialise in bulbs and vehicle lighting, these are quality products all Canbus compatible, not the cheap stuff that causes problems. I have these bulbs on all my other vehicles and it makes driving so much safer, especially in winter (y)

When I bought mine it had led bulbs in the side lights and this caused problem with the bulb failure light sometimes coming on. Something to be aware of. ?

As per first pic,if you cleaned the lense as it seems rather dirty it would then be a lot brighter.
Also if you have a discount as frequent user then why would you want a discount code ?
And then as you have now messed with vehicle and fitted non standard items, I think you will find your warranty is down the swanny.
Unless you have probably got permission in writing from manufacturers and dealers to change the things without affecting warranty.

All bulbs have been tested and are compatible, I was just giving information that 'may' be of interest to others, I know the bulbs I use but if people are selecting others do check what you are buying, the vision at night is so much bettering safer without blinding people (y)

A lot of worrying about aesthetics of something you can't see from the driver's seat and unless you leave them all on when you're parked so you can sit in front of your van and look longingly at them, I really can't see the point. The originals were obviously deemed good enough for type approval ;)

What Dened ses!
Get IN the van & stop worrying about daylight running lights

I think that most people on the forum are bright enough to know that your daytime running lights are never on when your headlights are on so it does not matter, there is the occasional dim one with loads of money who likes to stand out though.

Its a good call upgrading the headlamp bulbs.

Most manufacturers fit the cheapest H7 halogen bulbs they can find, and there are some really good bulbs from premium brands like Ring, Osram and Philips that a) dont affect the warranty b) are totally legal and c) perform way, way better than OEM fit

Bright sparks know that a little knowledge is dangerous ?

Hi 596 i was just sat here wondering if you compile a list at the beginning of the week of all the subject headings you want to start and then spend time working out how you can spin it so it looks insulting or do you do the insult first and work the heading in to that?
either way I look forward to your double entendres and can not wait to open your post to see what it is you are really talking about! ?

I suppose it is Halloween and still a few Green eyed monsters about.....?

Well I like them , and think they look the dogs well done, for daring to be different
Nothing to do with your comment, just like the nod to Jackson Browne and the Eagles

Spill the beans - what exactly did you use and where were they bought? Please :D .

Tools required = 1 x T30 Torx bit driver + 10 minutes, don’t forget to check you have put the indicator bulbs in the right way before refitting, check indicators first which also reminds you to plug cable back in ?

This is how you get the headlights out of a Ducato, skip to them coming out as this guy goes on more than me ?.

For a 2018 you need 4 x H7 (headlamp 2 x bulbs each side) and 2 x 582 (coloured indicator)

Headlamps (2 sets) https://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/twenty20-compact-led-headlight-bulbs-H7-pair.html

Indicator 2 x single https://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/582-twenty20-HF0-LED-indicator-bulbs.html

You will see below the 2 x screws you take out each side then slide the light unit carefully towards the centre and it comes out, remove the single wiring harness by sliding back clip around it and pulling out plug, watch you don’t damage the lens, have a jacket or towel to rest it in while you change the bulbs, remove dust caps, take of connector, if lucky bulb comes out with it, if not pull out bulb carefully with some pliers, it just pops out and pops back in on a built in spring, not like the old ones you had to pinch. Below are the old indicator bulbs together, a pic of the screw you take out, the long one is the one by the wing, then a pic of the old and new headlamp bulb.

Good luck, it really does makes driving at night safer and would update older vans, mine has LED rear lights already but if you don’t you can look on the site for the ones you need, any problems call and ask for Kim, she is very helpful ?

596 have you checked the beam pattern, I ask as I am trying to find some brighter bulbs for my VW tiguan and I fitted some led bulbs that are suppose to be brighter but the problem I had was there was no beam pattern to the bulbs, I put them on our mot beam tester and there was no cut off point it was just a blure

My aftermarket DRL’s stay on and just dim when headlights are on. I wasn’t sure if was an issue or not but RAC guy said was common and no issues recent at MOT.

I’m sorry I don’t have cars that need MOT’s, buy a set and try they are not expensive ? I just put these on the motorhome today so won’t use them until next July, I think you will find them absolutely amazing and give the beam pattern you need, call Kim on Monday and ask ?

So your warranty is stuffed if you change bulbs or warning lights ??? ?

Bulbs don’t give out beam pattern!!! But check that bulbs aren’t upside down ??‍♂️

Oh yes they do, well not technically, so how do you change from dip to main on a single lens headlamp then, well here's a video to help explain. (y)

Either, other lamps are illuminated or it’s a dual filament bulb.
On most halogen bulbs there is an interior reflector , check them ! But the pattern maker are the light deflectors and glass

I turn on the dipped lights as a matter of course in the UK. Can't have too much forward lighting for the half wits driving around the lane's these days.
