First time for C1 license.

Due to my age I need to apply for my first C1 license. I live in N Ireland and cannot get the DLM1 form. If I had the form I could apply and tell them that I can't get a doctor until after the Coronavirus is sorted out. I don't want to get the standard car license as I have been told its difficult to get it added.
Any ideas if this would work legally.

If you are applying for a first C1 entitlement then looks like you may have to take a test?

You can’t just apply for it. You have to take and pass a test. Unless you passed you car test pre January 1997.

I applied for mine two years ago pain in the rear end but not a real problem.
my own doctor who I’ve known for about twenty years .wanted to charge me £190 00
went on line find a doctor who carried it out for £45 00.
tock about ten minutes to do .
I must add I all ready had a C1 on my license.

He also said that unless my condition changed that he could foresee no reason why I wouldn't pass his medical when I became 70. I need a DLM1 form, a doctor, and an eye test all of which are in short supply.

I wish. The standard license can be done online but not the DLM1. Is the DLM1 form used in all parts of the UK or is it just for N Ireland.?

Just NI I think. We have a D4 from the DVLA, which can be downloaded from the website. Suggest you take it up with your MP.
