Q: we found the motorhome we like but I'm a bit of a fatty so how do larger guys manage with showers? Yeah yeah loose weight....but???? 😁

We always use the site showers, just occasionally travelling home when the French sites are closed we'll use the van shower. You'd just have to manage 🚿😊

I often wonder how big German blokes manage in a Hymer bathroom ?
I'm sure other makes are similar

I'm not the fattest but still find the shower is tight. My workaround is to do all the arm waving outside the cubicle.

That means inside to wet myself (stop giggling at the back), outside to soap and scrub, back inside to rinse, and outside to towel dry.

Just don't drop the soap in the shower - that's a separate matter again.

Wetroom walk through showers are bigger at least out Burstener Ixeo was .

We are not fatties and I sometimes wonder how a larger person manages in the Loo. I am 511" and 12st and I must admit I sometimes wonder about larger folks as I find it a squeeze.

I am sure you will be fine as there are plenty of others do. You will have to report back

Other people manage somehow or other...

What a beautiful picture you have painted in my mind.

Don’t shower . Use wet wipes :-)

I’m 6ft circa 16 err 17 stone , plenty of room in my chausson separate shower , though it would be a squeeze for a romantic one

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much info there!

I’m 6,3 and 21.5 stone 👀. I’m on my 4th van ( no I didn’t break them all 🤪) Hymer are the king of the larger gentlemen motorhome makers. I’m so nimble I can even use the shower if needed. But on a site I use site ones.
So for gentlemen with a larger frame I recommend the Hymer a/b class of chariot. Make sure you get one that has a large payload 🥺. 👍😷🥃😷

One of the reason we bought our Autotrail was that the shower faces the toilet and the corridor in the middle has a concertina door to the bedroom and a tradition door to the lounge so we can soap with the shower door open. My wife is normal size but I was quite a lot larger than now when we first got the motorhome.
I know that the suggestion that need to lose weight to use a motorhome shower was said in jest but it is true!

Have you tried a laxative

I'm 5"11 and 19.5 stone and I manage ok in the Pilote shower as long as I don't drop the soap , mind you my knees are right up at door when
sitting on the Shunkie 😂 😂😂
Get your drill out (behave!), a length of rope/string and your bar of soap ... drill a hole through the soap, thread rope/string through and tie in a loop then hang up somewhere in shower, no risk of dropping it again! :giggle:

6 foot 2 and 17 stone and built like a brick SH*thouse no problems in our Pilote just a quick wet, turn off, a soap all over and a quick rinse but as Neil S says a bugger if you drop the soap!

Hanging it round your neck would be even better and you can buy soap on a rope.

The shower in our van is bigger than most site showers and no clinging curtain or wet floor outside. The dressing area is quite small but drying off standing in shower tray works for me.

I knew a large guy who complained about the size of the Thetford Loo.
He couldn't wee if sitting down on it. Had to do so standing up.

I know but he might be quite attached to his bar of soap ... some people are very particular you know! :giggle:

Our Hymer shower is not much different in size to a small house one I think it's about 700mm square.

I thought the recomended weight for a Motorhome driver was 75 kg so if you stick to that no problems.
