Since 1964 Gosh that makes me feel old.
For sale on Gumtree, I just had to laugh & share it with everyone.

I hate to think what the rear axle loading is on that and I think I'd leave the steering lock on.

MOT until July next year though.

I like it... Lots of (suspension) tuning bits available for Sierras, so handling not really a problem.

Uprate the engine and it'll make a good long distance vehicle..

I would love to see inside one of those in person. They look quite quirky.

I think they came very close to calling it "Toppleover" for a reason!!

or one like this if you need a bit of stability.
seen quite few in france years ago.
Looks like the 'Clip-a-car' (I think that's what it was called) has been given new life - I think they're the ones you will have seen in France in the early '90s.

yes clip-car or something like it .used to see plenty. one was very often in roscoff.
if my memory is right werent they made towards angouleme are?
might have been as early as the 80,s

Oddly enough I saw a Sierra yesterday. First one I've seen in years.
From 1980 - 1988 I was a salesman in a Main Ford Dealer. The Sierra "concept car" was revealed at a motor show in SECC roughly a year before becoming available to the public. I commented to my sales manager that it looked hellish and would struggle to replace the MKv Cortina. His reply "you better get used to it , it will be your bread and butter for a long time". The concept car had infilled wheel arches like the old cars seen in gangster movies , so a few things changed before mass production thankfully.
Older Mondeos are few and far between too.
Hope 't pup and the good lady are well.

My other half Max has a Sierra XR4i in the garage that he’s restoring
Ooh! One of my favourite cars. Had a black one, black leather, cossy wheels, cossy Ltd slip diff. Owned previously by a guy who raced Cosworths so he had breathed on this one, quite a bit as it turned out.
Brilliant in the dry. Very scary in the wet when playing.
Please send me pics when finished,(unless it's in white).
