Dogs are welcome on the walk the only issue I see if to many came along would be the pub afterwards, that's if folk fancy a pint before heading back to the van.

@triclops, I had a look at the grave yard today for scooter access. In my opinion there shouldn't be a problem, the hill has a steep bit in it but nothing a scooter or wheelchair couldn't easily use.

Thank you very much for your efforts and for this information - at this point I will apologize for being a total divvy, and say that I never thought how we were going to get the mobility scooter from the museum down into Dumfries

Thanks David, I'm sure I'll balls up something . Just need to get everything sorted as soon as possible as we head of to America for 3 weeks and only arrive back 5 days before the rally and want everything done in advance.

I did thing of starting another thread for whats happening during the rally however I think that will confuse folk even more.

The guide doesn't have any issues with well behaved dogs and owners, the only issues i foresee is the transport to and from the walk and also if everyone wants to go for a pint before or after. I will need to check with the local bus company but I'm sure they have a rule about how many dogs can travel at the same time.

Debs off the top of my head the walk last about 90Mins, so I would say if you wanted a pint before or after then you would be leaving Tess in the van for no more than 3 hours. If your not forced into the pub for a pint you could be back in just over 2 hours. This would be my preferred option with Toby, although he's well behaved he's terrible once he's had a few beers. On a serious note he gets bored easy and would start barking
