Came upon this bridge between the Almafra campsite and the village of L’Albir

Before either side of the bridge the traffic changes to the left side, goes under the bridge and then crosses back again - confusing or what

Sandra's favourite junction when we visit the area. :D :D

But in my opinion it's like a lot of Spain's roads/junctions - they only really work when there is hardly any traffic.

Know it well.
I recon some kids changed the signs years ago and no one has ever bothered to question it !!
 :D

If its the short cut up and from la nucia ive drove it a few times in a car glad i didnt attempt the MH .

Always duck when I'm on the bike or the scoot...and a careful watch out for the locals!

Measured it, have you .?

LOL No.. I mean driving on the left..
Only 1 sign on each side, both state the same height..
There just seems no reason why you need to go from the right to the left and back again..
Weird....

It's good fun driving around it in a motorhome too..I got lost and ended up behind an old church with nowhere to turn...had to reverse about half a mile

Got it!!!!!!

It was the dozy Spaniard who put the signs up.
He put them up from above and as he looked DOWN the no entry sign was on HIS LEFT.......so the entry arrow went on HIS RIGHT which appear correct to him.
When he got down it was siesta time so he just drove off without looking.

To the left of that photo is a slip road that comes off the N road to that side of the bridge. This would cause a blind spot for traffic coming from the opposite side of the bridge, if they took the normal side of the road ( right). Therefore suspect due to accidents etc they changed the direction you drive under the bridge, so those passing on the left, now see any traffic coming off the N road.

If you were to drive through on the right coming from Albir towards Alfaz you would have no view whatsoever of the traffic coming down the slip road off the N332 ( to the right)
It all works perfectly .
Nothing at all to do with dozy Spaniards

Yeah, but my explanation is more entertaining :moon2:

I have been informed “ locally” that this is the logical reason
