I’ve never owned snow chains . A few years ago we had a fair bit of snow . I remembered I had some “ snow socks “ in the garage . The ones you put on the front wheels . Couldn’t wait to use them , was really excited . They had been in the garage unused for years ! Open the bag to find them completely in shreds , must have been tasty to the mice 😁

Dam
Just sold my chains on Flea bay last week
Not that it maters as they didn't fit the current car
Also we have winter tyres fitted
Finally we don't need to go out if things are bad and everything is shut anyway

Ignoring the Daily Fail there is a lot of chatter on the weather forums about more cold weather coming' Predicting where snow will fall is harder
Big dumps of snow usually occur when the warm damp air bumps into the cold stuff

Prefer the cold clear weather we have had the last couple of weeks to the gray damp stuff.
Snows not much use when we are not allowed out to ski
There are only so many snowmen you can build

No snow showing on BBC weather for Shropshire for forseeable future. In fact, temperatures due to climb to a positively balmy 9 degrees with no overnight freezing.

Has to be some advantages living in Englandshire then :reel:
Warning seems to be for anywhere north of about Hull
Where we are it sometimes misses us and other times we get well dumped on
Other side of the hill can often be worse

Still hoping for loads more snow yet this winter. BBC weather showing nothing here but Met Office showing snow from Thursday. Fingers crossed Met Office are correct.

Personally I find the Met Office better than the BBC (MeteoGroup) when your are over 24hr away
Don't think anyone is predicting a Beast from the East currently
Forecast for tomorrow for us is looking decent

Would be good for the lock down situation, a good 4 inch would keep many more people at home instead of cluttering the countryside and going to garden centres.

Looks like we are getting that up here
Snow and freezing rain all afternoon
Proper snow on know
No need to get the car out for the foreseeable

Thought we were locked down,, no need to travel.BUSBY

Have to rush out for milk and bread (not)
The roads may be blocked for a day or two
