I have searched previous posts but have not found any mention.

I have solar panels combined 260w into MPPT and mains Ctek 10 battery maintenance, both work together happily.
Parked at home I prefer the electric hook up -Ctek as it has eight stage intelligent maintenance; superior to that of the solar battery maintenance.

So during this lovely sunshine my solar panels are turned off before the MPPT solar controller, with a 12v isolator switch.

1 ) Where does the solar charge go? will anything be damaged or overloaded by no outlet, power draw?

Sorry to be so thick but elecktrickery is a mystery to me
2 ) And ... are the solar panels working when driving?

Your knowledge funsters will be very welcome

A solar panel that's not producing charge is just a lump of glass and silicon. It does degrade, but with current rigid panels, it takes about a decade before performance starts to noticeably drop. Don't worry about it.

I can't think of a reason to turn solar off ? Unless working on it?
Indeed, ehu or not, solar can be left on indefinitely even if not attended for months.

Our van is hardly ever connected to EHU so Rely totally on solar except when I connect stand alone charger to charge lithiums to 100% before a trip.
When sitting at home I do indeed disconnect solar from batteries at 80% so batteries are not sitting at 100%..
Yes I know some will say perfectly safe to allow controller to look after batteries but I am old school and prefer to physically and manually disconnect.

Use the solar, after you recoup the cost it’s free leccy, why are you not using it.
We only switch on the battery charger if it’s cloudy for days on end in the winter when we camp.
