We have a 6 month old Autotrail V Line with the well known issue regarding the difficult to read speedo and dash. Has anyone heard, or indeed had carried out, a rectification by Fiat to rectify this problem. I read somewhere that Fiat did a recall on vans 2015 onwards???

Yours will already have the mod, it puts the instrument lighting on with the ignition instead of just when the lights are on.

Thanks for that, I wasn’t aware that was the actual ‘mod’!
I’ll just stick to relying on the Sat Nav for a Speedo as it’s still so difficult to read in the daytime.

I bought a heads up speedo display from Halfords. I now have a 4" display on the windscreen. It is brilliant, I can keep my eyes on the road whilst trying to drive at 80K in France.
The only problem is that due to the slope on the dashboard (A Class) the cable keeps slipping out. Halfords are going to change it for me. In the meantime I have a pretty pink bandage wrapped round it.

I had the mod on mine , didn’t help much so always use sat nav .

I use a cheap GPS speedo from Ebay and it will read mph and kph, on my merc and I put it where I can see it easily.

I thought this issue had all been resolved. Our 66-plate Fiat Ducato had the poor dashboard lighting but our 17 and 68 plate Ducato vans have been great with no issues whatsoever.

The van is only 6-months so could it be that the converter has held it in stock for a long time before converting it.

We just bought one of these HUD units

Amazon product ASIN B07PYTKT2R
Other retailers and makes / models are available. I can't comment on how good it is as all I have done is set it to miles rather than km and checked it powers up.
