Would this be right behind where the cylinder is in the motorhome

not sure you would need to look up what model etc of heater you got and check its operating procedure

We had a 2005 Starburst with eberspacher wet diesel heating. On the hot water stoage cylinder there was a pressure relief valve with a red knob. As the water heated it expanded and the pressure rekief valve dribbled to keep the pressure down.
The valve could be opened manually to drain the tank in case of frost.
Ours became a bit dribbly all the time and needed a new seal inside.

Our 2005 Eberspacher did this too, it still worked fine though.

Have you ever had it serviced, ours broke down and the repairer said most people with diesel heating just let them run and don't service or touch them until they break down.

At £50 plus vat for a service i don't blame them..I have had mine serviced to keep the 3 year warranty. It was cheaper a couple of years ago to have a new heater £900 than to have it repaired..Friend has just fitted a cheap Chinese heater to his van,,£250. Will see how he goes on with it.BUSBY.
