Diesel Heater for Garage/Workshop

This one goes from p1 to p8 as its working I'll leave well alone until I get it installed properly.
Which heater did you buy, Neckenders' ebay link has stopped working, and there are so many to choose from.
Cheers

Thanks for the reply, no-one has got one of yours, I might have to get one from Amazon instead, at least it will be easier to send back if it's faulty.
How has yours worked out?

When I tested it was fine but I've not got around to installing it yet, going away in the van got in the way.

I bought this one from Amazon
Amazon product ASIN B08NJ8W6Y8
It has taken me a day on Google and Youtube working out how to use it, what the symbols on the controller are for etc etc
I'm really pleased with the output (where Lenny measured his) showing 207c at full tilt . This is going to be really good when the cold weather comes. I notice that my diesel supply pipe is a small bore white one finishing with 1.25" rubber pipes where it meets the tank and pump so that it won't kink. So far I'm impressed. I mounted it on 2x2 blocks and vented it straight through my workshop wall.

Brianmor does your air intake and exhaust terminate side by side ? If it does the heater could pull in exhaust gasses through the air intake and give incomplete combustion inside the heater. To prevent this I bent a piece of 22mm copper and pushed it on the end of the exhaust fitted the silencer to the copper and now my exhaust and air intake are 2 ft apart.

John.

No, I vented the exhaust straight out of the wall and left the intake laying next to the heater inside. I didn't see the need to have the intake drawing in cold air from the outside.

I ran my air intake outside with having 2 classic motorbikes and didn’t want petrol fumes being drawn in my heater.

John.

Looking at fitting one of the all in one type like this or similar in my double garage. Should be fairly cheap to run as local garage does red diesel.
Amazon product ASIN B07V72XZV8
I think you guys Jaws , Two on Tour & Neckender have done it, just wondering if you have found a decent reasonably priced 12v supply that runs it OK as I don't want to fart about with batteries.
Thay run grate on kerosene heating oil and it's cheaper.
And burns cleaner

Good call as thay run better on air that's a bit warmer
The air intake on my van is inside and on my boat but I run my heaters on kerosene it cheeper and burns cleaner.

A 1976 Triumph Bonneville didn't have those orange winky blinky things on each corner.
Not when I was a lad anyway

Ummmmmmm............ 1966 maybe but standard on 76 ones :)
Think you are quite correct John ,I was 18 in 1966 and still into bikes, first one was a 150 BSA bantam, ,which we subsequently upgraded to a 250 Royal Enfield Crusader sports.
In 1976 it was cars ,no further interest in bikes then .(y)

Is that a Canadian spec one ?
Or has it been repainted ?

The Bonneville It’s an American import John from Minisota. I’ve had it converted to electric start but now and then I use the kickstart just for the fun of it.

John.

The 250 GT also had problems with the 5 speed box, in 67 I had the Crusader sports, my cousin had the Turbotwin and my mate had the GT 5 speed and it was always back at dealership with gearbox problems.

Ahh.. I knew it was north American but went for Canada as it has not got the reflectors on the fork legs but on the frame..
But far from an expert on the vagaries of yank laws and when they changed what to where :-)

I took my Thunderbird for its MOT today and the mechanic said very nice bike they’re reimporting a lot of these bikes back in the UK and I told him that mine was a genuine UK bike 20 years old and genuine 7,600 miles on the clock.
He MOTd it then rode it around their compound and another mechanic walking past said he’s fell in love with your bike mate.
Anyway another years MOT sorted.

John.

Didn’t we as a Country produce some crap bikes once the Japanese got there feet under the table.

The arrogance shown by Brit bike manufacturers was simply staggering
While Japan sent us leak free bikes with indicators and electric boots,
People like Harry Sturgeon poo poo'd such things as 'pathetic gimmicks
As BSA was, at the time, at the time looking to swallow up a lot of the competition his word was final...
I believe the demise of the Brit iron can be directly attributed to him and his board
