During the last three years what is the duration of time spent PER YEAR, per trip, touring in your motorhome WITHIN THE SCHENGEN AREA?

Other than this year we usually do two 90 day trips,,this year we managed one 70 day trip.BUSBY.

Yvette still works, and because of her roll within the company she works for it tends to restrict us to 2 weeks and a weekend tagged onto the start and finish of the 2 weeks.
Hopefully in a little over a years time and that ball and chain will be history. (y)

Had to change my vote because 'per trip' wasn't mentioned in the heading. We usually go several times. Not this year though,, just one of 30 days.

Before we became residents in Spain, we only did max 6 weeks in the UK. 😁 We now plan on 5 month trips, but our UK visits shouldn't count on our 90 / 180 days. 😁 Bob.

I've answered 31-60 for the last 5 years, but we've retired now and the plan was 180-365 for the next few years................I won't go there Jim !!

Per trip it’s anything between 8 and 45 days.
But we have 10 tunnel crossings per year with our FT package and use them all so five trips.
On average I think we do about 100 nights in Schengen land.
Roll on next year when we can get back............hopefully!

Richard.

we normally do 2 trips A YEAR that usually more than 30 day upwards but never been over 60 days per trip in past 3 YRS

This year only 50 days but normally two trips of 40 to 45 days and one of 20-30 days.

None haven’t had the chance due to Covid 19 so I didn’t cast a vote

I put 61-90 in the motorhome.

But we normally do other trips within the Schengen Area flying, without the motorhome, which would take us over 90 (however, not during 2020 :( ).

Not been out of uk for a while and if it’s like this next year can’t see it being anytime soon.

I thought you only used the Schengen to get to Moroc
Yes, Your right. Well to a degree. We always spend time in Spain or Portugal on the way back and sometimes just overwinter in Spain. In the last few years we have managed to fit in Autumn trips to France & Germany. Greece next year I hope.

He has been known to lurk in Spain & Portugal, I know I've bumped into him and had to suffer Dylan 24/7.
Going off Dylan a bit now Lenny. I do like Keb Mo.......a lot! I'll introduce you to him the next time we meet up. Right up your street mate.

In recent years due to travel insurance restrictions of 90 day trips we stick to trips of 90 days. We have sometimes left the van and driven home is the toad and we have left the fiver and driven home in the donkey. In the past we have extended the trips to more than 90 days, but I have not worked out just how to get round any restrictions due to Brexit, but I will when the time comes.

We aim for a minimum 2 trips of between 30 & 40 days each trip. Now being almost retired we are hoping to do more trips abroad in 2021 although we now have 90day max to consider.

Sadly zero, we were planning our first trip for September gone but COVID-19 got in the way.

As two posters have pointed out, a person may spend more days than the MH. Also the MH may spend more days than the person.

We have at least 6 times left the MH and flown back from trips, nothing to do with the 90 day rules for either Schengen or an individual country, just our personal commitments.

AFAIK most countries do not count the days a MH stays, although a stay of 90 days often requires re-registering - if they know.

Only bought our van 28th July. Done 6 trips, 3+2+7+3+3+3 = 21 nts all in UK.
Big plans for next year...........subject to???

2 of 30-60 days plus some shorter trips to Northern France. Had looked forward to more and longer trips next year when youngest finished Uni but that is likely to be different now unfortunately, Covid aside.

A 3-month winter trip Feb to mid-May, usually around 100 days, then a late summer/autumn trip August to October, (around 60 days), in the motorhome.
We also like to have a couple of 'cheap-flight' breaks.
Fingers crossed for 2021. We only managed 9 weeks abroad this year 😏. Time is precious and we need to seize the day.

Normally
150 days over winter in Spain/Portugal.
60 days elsewhere. May/ June.
This year 75 days before the great dash home.
Now first time of winter in the UK until vaccine arrives?????
