Hi all, I have just been calling around to get insurance quotes on our first motorhome and it's just dawned on me that no one has asked about contents cover like they do when I have insured our past caravans? One company asked if there was any valuable items I wanted to add, but i was wondering if they do thinks differently to caravans.

They usually have set amounts for content but be careful with value covered for tech like iPads and kindle because you may find as we did when got broken into they may bunch all tech together, so we lost 2 iPads and 2 kindle and a games console and only got £500 got of the lot.

Theres a low limit, about £3000 to £4000.
Any expensive individual item you insure for all risks, outside the home, on your home contents insurance.
I think you can include electric bikes on this.

Comfort it is £2,500 if the Motorhome is valued at under £15,000 or £5,000 if the Motorhome is valued over £15,000. Max any signal item £400.

Yes I had a quote from them that's what got me wondering about the contents cover as I didn't fully understand how it worked out, thanks

Some of our stuff is covered on our home insurance. Specified valuables and bikes if locked up.
