Did the Norfolk coast a couple of years ago and enjoyed the lack of traffic. Did the Gower two week ago and it also was beautiful. Would recommend either but just choose the nearest drive. It's a long way into Wales and the Gower.
Enjoy.
The Norfolk/Suffolk coast is very underrated. lots of beautiful villages and the Norfolk Broads of course. Have you thought of stopping on pub car parks and buying a meal/drinks?
I posted a pub stopover near great yarmouth on the site last year. ideal for one night and a nice walk with the dog. I am sure there are others. have you checked wild camping on moonfruit - not sure of the correct website address ?
Norfolk has very few places where you can park and look at the sea: Hunstanton, Walcott, Caistor, Gt Yarmouth, Gorleston. It also has very few sites with sea views eg Mill Farm at Wells, a couple near Cromer. If you are happy to walk, the coast is lovely. There are, of course, other attractions eg Gt Y's Golden Mile!
Suffolk is about the same: Lowestoft, Southwold, Dunwich, RSPB Minsmere, Sizewell, Thorpeness, Aldeburgh, Shingle Street, Felixstowe (a few spots!). CMC White Beach has 2 sections, one of which fronts onto the prom & beach, The Vulcan at Sizewell, (Church Farm at Aldeburgh is set back a little), Another lovely laid-back county: I love Southwold pier.
NE covers a large distance: Berwick, Holy Island, Bamburgh, Amble, (we like Cresswell), Newbiggin, Blyth, Whitley Bay & Tynemouth, South Shields, Seaburn, Seaham Harbour, Crimdon, West Hartlepool, Seaton Carew, Redcar, Saltburn, Sandsend, Whitby, Scarborough, Filey, Flamborough, Bridlington, Hornsea, all have places where the beach is at your doorstep and there are other little roads along the Durham coast where you can get down and personal. There are also plenty of "sea view" sites.
A Britstop in Hornsea is right on the edge of the prom!

Living in Mid Norfolk as well, can vouch for the above post and being slightly biased would suggest Norfolk. Incleboro Hill ( spelt that wrong) at West Runton is a wonderful place to stay.
I've rarely motorhomed in U.K. other than as a convenience for an occasional weekend family 'do' but I recently had a week in Norfolk whilst attending a motorbike event and sorry to say this but I won't be going back. Too flat and boring for me. No rolling hills or verdant valleys with herds of wildebeest. It was wet and windy and bloomin' chilly. Some villages are quite pretty to drive through but one bleak Broad is much the same as another.
That 230 mile drive could've taken me to the Loire valley.
suggesting which is best is difficult, as we dont know what is your preference. wild and rugged, or miles of wide open sea marshes. There is beauty in all the British coastline, even the victorian seaside resort towns
We have just returned from a 5 week tour of Wales, and we really enjoyed it. To the point where my wife commented, 'that has to be one of the best holidays I have ever had'.
I would go with suffolk southwold is a lovely site but no hookups and very busy with family;s and groups at the weekends you have to book with the council ,nice walk either way to the harbour with its fresh fish restaurants and stalls or the town with even more pubs and restaurants and the adnams brewery tour
Both lovely. As an east anglian, don’t forget the £10 a week Suffolk coastal car parks tickets available in the information centres, it will save you a fortune.
