I've searched and searched for a good deal, so much so that my brain hurts!! :banghead: Here's what I need;

  1. Data only to use in a 3g/4g MiFi device
  2. 50gb minimum
  3. No contract, no commitment. I only need this for less than a month in the UK (no roaming needed)
  4. Preferably high street store pickup or next day delivery (I need one from 8th March!!)
  5. A business only SIM would be fine, as well as a standard one
Just when I think I've found a suitable deal, the small print adds a c.£25 set up fee or wants me to set up a Direct Debit so any help would be greatly appreciated.

PS I know this is last minute but I'm having to travel sooner than I thought I would be and was hoping to have the Tiekom SIM that Carpmart shared with us all. This is why I'm in a bit of a pickle!!

Superdrug SIM, £20/month unlimited data you can cancel the auto renew online in your account and with the first payment you get £20 worth of Superdrug points. So if you only use it for one month it's free. The month starts when you activate the SIM online.

Thank you. I had a look at TalkMobile but their biggest 30 day SIM is only 12gb of data. But thank you anyway :)

Have a look at Martin Lewis site. He has unlimited data sim at the moment £12.75 a month with three.

Another vote for Smarty. Excellent plans. £20 for unlimited data, calls and texts but you can flex up and down each month depending on your requirements. They'll deliver a SIM next day too.

Thank you. I had a look at these. Are Smarty SIMs for 5g devices only? I was a bit confused by the information.

We use the Superdrug SIM too. Can stop and start as you want

Voxi do a 75gb 30 day SIM, cancel any time, for £15 a month but if you use Netflix and/or Prime for streaming anything you watch does not come out of the data allowance.

Make sure you check smarty (they are on the 3 network) for coverage. I hesitate to use the technical term ' rubbish' in rural Scotland but it is not great!

Do your coverage research. I'm in a similar position to you. Have the motorhome wifi setup and was going to give it a test next week when we go away by using the Smarty sim supplied. Did a quick check on the Three coverage checker (Smarty uses Three) and and found there is no coverage around where I'm going. Bit surprised as it's near Folkstone, so not that remote.

Plenty of coverage for EE and O2 so will be hot spotting from the phones.

Here's an option a very helpful guy on a support call with EE told me:

Get and unlimited data EE sim account, or upgrade you current one to unlimited data. I could upgrade mine for £25 per month.
Then set up additional sim's on you account called Addons (they quaintly call them Addlings). For these Addlings, get the cheapest package possible, which is £10 per month with 1GB of data. The unlimited sim can gift data to the Addlings upto to a maximum of 100GB per month !!! Apparently this is very common amongst families.
So, for me, I can get a sim for the MH costing £10 per month and gift it 100GB every month.

Now I will phone up again and speak to another Support staff to confirm, but an EE sim for £10 a month with 100GB of data sounds good (actually it will only cost £9 as you get 10% discount on all Addlings). BUT, it will also be costing me an extra £12 per month to upgrade my current sim to unlimted, so in reality its and extra £21 per month for me.

I know you can get cheaper deals on other networks, but most 'experts' I talk to say EE has the best coverage.

Smarty do a decent deal, 60GB for £10, 200GB for £15 and Unlimited for £20. Delivery in 2 working days, pause or cancel anytime.

No roaming charges whilst in the EU with Smarty

I don't need EU roaming, as I just need this for less than one month in the UK, but thanks anyway :)

All the best deals appear to be with providers that do not provide for me. Being rural I have very limited choice and none of the cheaper options cover my area:crying1::crying1::crying1::crying1::crying1:

I use Sky at £6 a month. It rolls over data for 3 years. I keep this just as a spare sim and you can watch sky go for free although Sky are a pain as you cannot plug in and stream to your TV on android only windows. I did complain and tell them Amazon prime & Netflix aren't a problem streaming from android but they just aren't interested. . If you need more data you just move it using your phone.

But the op only needs it for 30 days max!

I’ve just renewed my Smarty for the i phone and upgraded to 60GB for £10 plus a new Smarty SIM for the Netgear 810s on a group deal 12GB for £7.50.
As I’m off to Europe at the end of March I know both will be restricted to 12GB each roaming.
Any problems I’ll just get local SIMs
