AutoTrail Tracker
Exp
Since 2022
Hello one and all,

We purchased a wonderful Auto-Trail Tracker EKS SE in September 2022 and absolutely love every part of it however, despite trawling through the various manuals that came from the previous owner, one thing has us puzzled.

At the rear of the habitation area, to the right of the kitchen sink there is a strange "object" placed in the corner, carefully tucked between.two wooden panels.

It has a soft cover but whatever is inside it is solid with a large switch underneath it. We have no idea what it is, what it does and are "scared" to turn it on incase it does something strange and we can't stop it!

Anyone have an idea what it is please? Both sensible answers and truly silly ones gladly accepted!

Cheers,
Strange object in our motorhome..jpeg

A speaker, Or could the cloth cover just be decorative and the switch below an isolation switch for the microwave, try turning it off and on and see if the microwave still works, or even turn the radio on and see if that makes a difference.

Could it be a awning switch if you have a electric awning. Just a guess. A photo of the box would help.

On my older autotrail a similar layout where your microwave is used to be a cupboard for storing tins or spices etc . And the last owner had let something tip over and it fell in behind that corner piece and leaked out. I think that behind that corner piece there is nothing except maybe some wires for socket. Socket might be for microwave.

Ok, we just had a great week away and had a chance to investigate both the switch and the fabric covered object.

The switch is used for isolating the microwave which is surprisingly powerful and works a treat. However, we are still none the wiser about the strange cylinder in the corner, wondering if Auto-Trail themselves might be able to shed some light on it. It's definitely not a speaker.
