As newbies and just completed our first test stay away, we looked enviously at our neighbours cadac whilst I was coaxing disposable Barrie in to life.....
so today, treated ourselves to a shiny new Cadac Grillo Chef2 complete with storage and carrying bag. all assembled and tested, great stuff. Then , flushed with success I said I’ll practice putting it in the bag. That was two hours ago.......can any one give me a clue before I put the hacksaw to it...?

Those bits you see there I simply stow in the BBQ cover that comes with it.

Ok, so the grill plate goes in the centre, the base plate sits upside down in the bottom pan in one half of the bag and the lid goes in the other half with the gas thingy in it, I think! I love mine so much it's currently up for use in the garden :giggle:

Oh, and the legs are a pain in the neck but go in the elasticated slots on the outside of the bag unless you've bought the separate leg bag!!

Not sure if they’ve changed the bag design but they used to have elasticated straps on the outside for the lid and loops for the legs under that.

Our straps for the lid snapped after a couple of months so we emailed Cadac and they sent a bag out under warranty so we now use a bag for the lid, pizza stone and paella pan and the original bag for everything else. Legs go in a storage box already in the same locker.

I had the same conundrum when we bought ours.
The cover/lid sits in two elasticated straps on the back of the bag. The legs (on mine they pull apart as its floor standing) live in their own bag.

Youtube is your best mate here, one of the english Vloggers does a good video of cleaning and putting away! having said that, i can never remember the order and give up most times........

I think your avatar pic is more interesting than the Cadac, is that a Lambretta Vega?

Should be a separate bag for the legs, which can be secured to the big round bag by elasticated loops.

I store mine in 3 different locations to make the moost of space. Legs and gas pipes in the gaslocker, body stacked in a bag in a low locker and dome in a larger locker with unrelated tool bag inside it. Its a bit more fiddly to put up but it makes the most of space and everything remains accessible.

Certainly is A Vega, just being prepared as resident in the MH garage. I have had Lammies since the dawn of time.....

Oh dear, heres our pizza stone after test firing...... not a Cadac one, are they special stuff?

Pizza stone is best used on top of the bbq grille and where possible start on low heat and raise slowly to full heat.

You can also put a bit of flour on the stone when hot before putting the pizza on which reduces the chance of burning the bottom.

You need to reconnect the gas part to the main body that shouldn't be removed. And dont bother putting legs into bag

Ours, which is 3-4 years old, has a separate bag for the legs and different grills.
We have recently changed to a new, smaller Cadac so if anyone’s interested the big one is for sale.
Not used that much, some of the different grill plates have never been out of their original bags and there is a rain cover so you can leave it outside.
The only extra needed is a new gas hose.
£50 and collect from Mid Suffolk (it’s a bit awkward to pack and send) or we could arrange a meet when we go to Staffordshire in August.

Richard.

I`ve always just looped an Elastic strap around the legs and hang them in the locker next to the bag with the rest of the grill in?.

Charcoal is OK, until you think it is out and put it in the Waste Bin, and 20 min later the "Brigade" turn up, `cos someone reported a fire!. Not me Guv? Honest?

Now that is cheap but unfortunately I have one. It’ll sell easily if you list it on the classified section

We store the legs in a old tent pole bag, rest all fits in the bag but we do remove the handle and temprature probe from the lid when it gets packed up
