C19 Wales restrictions

Well,

From Monday we Welsh people can meet up any number of people but only travel max of 5 miles but keep social distancing rules plus we are now able to go and spend unlimited time at parks or beaches, as long as we are following the restrictions.

So.......

Camp sites closed yes but is it not the case from Monday we can use our motorhomes for social local meet ups as long as the max 5 mile and distance rules are applied.

A few of my friends whom have MH and vans we are looking on meeting up on a local mountain keeping apart and within 5 miles of home.

Would you think that’s ok?

I wouldn't think the locals or plod would agree, but as long as you camouflage your van and wrap it in stone proofing you should be OK.
Ps take your wallet just in case you get fined.
Or plead the new fifth ammendment, I was just testing my eyes officer to make sure I could drive OK but had to take a rest break on this mountain.

“The biggest change to the lockdown in Wales is that an unlimited number of people from two households will be able to meet outside, so long as they are socially distancing - two metres apart - are following handwashing guidance, are are staying local - within five miles of their home.

As well as meeting in public outdoor spaces, the changes allow meeting in private spaces - such as gardens.

So I’m reading the unlimited time at beaches and parks as in open areas and I’m not talking about beacons just a local mountain.

If PC plod does turn up I’ll just offer them a chair and a can lol but seriously I would class that as within the rules or am I barking mad.

Just received a reply( to my e-mail) from my Plaid Cymru Senydd member that they think the 5 mile rule is a mistake for rural areas, that Welsh government is aware local regional rules are used in other countries, and the English approach is reckless .

good to get a detailed reply in under half a day !

The 5 miles radius is not set in Welsh law is a guide line.

The WA claimed that part of the reason for not easing the restrictions until Monday is to allow time for stray issues to be addressed.

The unlimited time factor will, I'm certain, be clarified to exclude overnight meetings.

I was very tempted to go to morrisons last weekend ebbw vale, in Van, via our mountain and stop on the top for a cuppa I was good though

I think the restriction I heard was 5 miles or further unless there are services within 5 miles which makes sense otherwise you get people stretching it.
