I've got a C200s toilet and the level indicator doesn't work. So I bought a Fresh Up kit, new led, reed switch and fitted them all today.....the led still doesn't work😡
I have checked the fuse, cleaned it and the holder with contact spray...still nothing😡
The only thing I can think of is that both the replacement Led and reed switch only have black wires, have I connected them the wrong way?
I don't know nothing about most things and even less when it comes to any form of electrics but I haven't been able to find any information saying that the wires must be a certain way round, even though they're the same colour!!
Any ideas please?

Led will usually only work one way round. All leds I have ever had do this but I put usually in case there is some that are different

Had a van in for test with a trashed marker light tried a new led light to check for voltage and it came on so fitted the new light but it did not work once fitted, after a bit of head scratching took it back of and reversed wiring and it worked perfectly so yes led,s seem to be polarity sensitive

Thanks for the replies, I'll give them a try when off on Wednesday.
Just seems stupid that Thetford sell spares and the wiring is all the same black colour.

I've never seen the full indicator lit on my C200
Never dared fill it to the max, prefer to empty when I can see the contents through the porthole :imoutahere:

Rather than mess about with all that magnetelektrikery, just pop one of these in the cassette.

It will give you a physical 'reminder' that you're approaching 'full'

If you are of gentle disposition, better use these ones...

Take it from me...... Not a nice experience if you are sat on the bog and fill it up.... :Eeek::blush:

The clue is in the name. LED Light Emitting DIODE. Any diode only passes current in one direction. So reversing it allows current to pass and light to be emitted. It's so low voltage, getting the wires the wrong way round will not affect anything including the LED. Using single colour wire saves Thetford money in construction. 😉
