Took us 9 hours to do what we usually do in 4, absolute mayhem, why why why is the m2 to London cut off , nothing at all on it for miles, in France the lorries seem pretty much left to it,two or three lanes of trucks for as far as it takes, just a couple of police at the beginning of the queue directing trucks onto the hardshpulder and the next one or two lanes, and tunnel traffic just going past, here there are hundreds of police stacking trucks, no reason why they couldn't have two lanes of lorries for as far as it takes and let others go past them, but why the other side of the mway is shut I just don't know

Welcome back, we too had the very same problems, the highlight of leaving Dunkirk was driving passed all the parked trucks at 2 am and driving to the port, even got priority from the Police National and they called me sir, been a long time since that happened. Then we arrived in the Promise Land, we had a long journey to Glocestershire due to OP STUCK.

Chaser you said in your op the M2, did you mean the M20? We are going to the tunnel on Saturday morning and the advice has been to use the M2/A2 via Canterbury but if you say the M2 is closed that will be impossible.

That probably explains why I couldn't understand what the OP was on about! :)
