Awaiting arrival of new van and this is one of the extras I intend to do myself.
Doesnt look overly difficult and the savings on having them fitted make it very economically viable.

Anything I should be aware of before going for it ?

Cheers

Not too difficult, need a second pair of hand, measure twice, cut once and get some of those hole cutting screws from Screwfit. (be careful there's no wires behind pillars etc.)
PS Think they're called Westfield self drilling?

Landy Andy and L' Hobo

I got quoted 690 fitted and I dont think (from limited research) that I can beat that for even buying them

I m looking at 400 nicker for a window though i have found 220 (out of stock) for one window. Am i just looking in the wrong places ?

Sorry but I have no answer to your question but I would be looking at companies like O'Leary's (Second-hand parts dealers) and scrap-yards if I wanted cheaper (then, while removing from a similar vehicle as your own, you could take picture as a reminder when refitting into your own)
In my experience, you only need the windscreen one, the sides frames block some of the rear-view mirrors.

I fitted them to mine 18months ago. They came from https://magnummotorhomes.co.uk/product-category/remis-cab-blinds/ .

Mine is a X250 Relay so has the narrow overhead shelf which needed some careful trimming with a dremil type tool. I believe the Ducato does not have this shelf. The only other thing I found was a slightly longer drill bit than normal would have be useful for fixing the top of the door blinds.

Fitted mine to an 2011 X250 Ducato many years ago, no problems with fitting and one of the most useful extras I´ve fitted. It does restrict how far you can lower the sun visor.

I fitted mine to my 2007 X250 and my visors are unimpeded. Perhaps, as you need them more, your are slightly different??

i bought mine for my self build and put the job off as it looked tricky when i got round to it it was easy ,take time to read the hyrogliphic instructions a couple of times. You have to break the existing trims and remove the pillar tweeters mine were not a great fit in the new pillar trims if yours feel loose stick them in with something as mine fell out and stopped the radio producing any sound

I had the same problem, so bought and fitted a pair of spacers that overcame the problem, since then Funster PaulandChrissy can make the spacers for you at half the price of the commercially made ones. (y)

Having had Remis blinds on the PVC we had previously, when we knew we had done the deal on the van we have now and it had no Remis blinds, I bought a set from Magnum Motorhome before we even picked up our van.
The door blinds are a doddle to fit, but the front blinds take a bit more time and thought in fitting.

I may have missed it somewhere, but what are you getting?
Anyway here’s hoping it’s trouble free and you enjoy many many miles on the continent!👍👍

Hi
if anyone needs a set of my Visor Spacers, please order them from me soon, as we are off to Spain for 3 months in a couple of weeks. I won’t obviously be posting anything from Spain.
Please order at chrisatheathpark@yahoo.com

Stay Safe Everyone. PaulandChrissy

Havent actually mentioned what I m getting but its changing the roller team 690 to a 685.

Wasnt going to get one til the new year and was going to purchase in Belgium but then read about 7% hikes in prices and thought I would ring round, only one left but it was automatic, 10 minutes later we were automatic fans.
Offered us what we paid for the 690 5 years ago brand new so it seemed a no brainer.
Just seen it has risen £4k this week in price.
Just got to get all the extras that we had on the van before sorted now and await the delivery date in December (ish)

Can someone kindly give me some advice on the blinds (believed to be Remis) fitted to our Burstner.

At the end of each blind is a handle/rod which magnetically attaches to it's 'mate' when closed. I have noticed that the fitting at the top of the handle/rod has come adrift and the rod can now slide down off the blind concertina surface.
So far I have managed to avoid this disaster.

My question is, Can this fitting be repaired or, can the end handle/rod be replaced as a whole.

Stick a pic up of what your issue is as that will help.
Most bits can be bought or repaired, if you have the patience for it. I’ve fixed mine a few times. There are also more than one type of blinds.

I got my side window ones second hand in here years ago. The front one was in from manufacturing, and wouldn’t want to be without them all.

Alright! Alright! I know it's been a month but hey ho!
Here is a pic of the offending bit of the blind that has snapped at the junction of the white(ish) fixing at the top and the aluminium rod.
Can the plastic part be bought separately?

if you can get the broken part off - i am sure someone on here could 3d print you a replacement - look for threads on 3d printing - i think @PaulandChrissy are away at the moment, they seem to do a lot of bits for people though i am sure others are just as competent

Thank you for that.
I do not know whether what is left in the top of the rod is 'removable' and if so, how much grunt, delicacy would be required.
I'm hoping that someone on here will have had the same problem and explain how they overcame it.
But as said, thank you.
