Help needed!!!!!!!!! Pulled the emergency pull on the main door now door won't close. I can hear the mechanism trying to operate, but the connection seems to have disconnected. Don't know where to start. Any advice gratefully appreciated.

The pulling of the emergency handle yesterday bought up a disturbing dilemma; we cannot open the main door from the outside. We can only access from the back doors which is in the process of having a bed built across it. Anyone else have experience of this?

Probably a simple mechanical issue, something like a connecting rod.
Ours can be locked on the outside with key . But still opens from within.

Hi folks.
I have a potential problem with our air suspension. One of the pumps has stopped & although the other is still working the high pressure gauge under the seat no longer registers any pressure. We still roll along ok though & donā€™t drop at the rear.

Does anybody have any info on how it all works.

Many thanks

Dave

Morning all.
Itā€™s mot time again & once again the handbrakes letting me down. The station I have used for the last 5 years is now closed. They ā€œadjustedā€ the handbrake last year on the test but the new garage failed it.
Rear axel not holding at all & ā€œallā€ handbrake cables need replacing.
Itā€™s been a busy few days. To get the new rear cables made (local & lovely company) I had to take the old ones off. On removing the drums I find the shoes cooked & drums badly scored. Over adjusted?

So euro parts for new drum/discs, pads & shoes etc.

I read on many forums that tag axel vans have always had poor handbrakes but how do they get through the test?
Any advice on setting up the tag handbrake would be much appreciated.

Air system now sorted.

Dave

Hi all. Only just found this group. We too converted a Rohill into a camper 2 years ago. Great vans but ours is sadly up for sale. Before it goes though I need to fix a problem that I found today with the air suspension. There are 2 pneumatic devices half way along the van that are getting hot to touch. I think they are a pneumatic switch of some sort, they have supply going to them but the suspension doesn't seem to lift. The cooling fans on said devices are not kicking in either despite there being 12v present. I googled what they are and found an American supplier. Cant seem to find any over here though. Any thoughts please? Thanks.

Hi & welcome Roundhead
Your photo is one of the suspension compressor(s). They do get hot when working.
Do you have a pressure gauge under drivers seat? Ours has & reads 10 bar when fully charged.
Check for air leaks if itā€™s not raising up. Soapy water & paintbrush on joints will find them. They are mostly pushfit & are available on eBay.

Good luck
Dave

Rohill Conversion
Hi all
I have recently purchased an old Rohill conversion.... TAG axle. The air suspension was dropping overnight but i traced it to a perished air bag on one of the corners. I tracked down the part from the number on the original airbag and fitted it no problem. So far she is not dropping :)

Hello! great to find a forum on one ronhill vans
mines a ducato and i converted myself in 2017 its my fulltime home on wheels!
i've fully replaced all the air suspension system and currently have 2000 watts of solar on the roof!!
There is a known fault to all these vans regarding corrosion to the front Inner suspension Towers. This is because the sill panel below the windscreen is sealed with the mastic at the factory which breaks down over time and let's water through. It is well worth removing this panel which is held on just by screws after the windscreen wipers arms are removed and cleaning the area and resealing with a polyurethane sealant. this will save you an awful lot of welding!
Rear light lenses are from an earlier version for the Ducato I found.
Originally my van had the plastic trim along the sides the same as shivers van but I removed little and replaced it with aluminium checker plate as this gained approximately 3 more inches of clearance on the rear corners.

Hi budā€¦ nice to see another. I have just done some major welding to rear chassis section and fitted a 60l grey water tank. Pretty pleased with the outcome. Mines is the Relay, wonder if your rear lights would be the same? Any pictures?

Rohil Harrier
Hi All

At last I've found other folk with a Rohil Harrier!! We got our Renault Master version in 2016 in Stranraer where it was still being used as a school bus. We converted it and absolutely love it. 150k on the clock and we have spent a fair bit on getting it through MOTs etc but well worth it. Always chasing air leaks and have had to replace the self levelling valve linkage on a regular basis but all worth it.

Hi šŸ‘‹šŸ» just joined and so glad to see rohill owners here!! I bought one last year but sadly due to a change in circumstances I need to sell her and never had the opportunity to enjoy her! I bought him from guy who converted her but when it was MOT sadly she needs work doing and Iā€™ve not got the skills or time to fix her. Gorgeous interior all brand new! So Iā€™m going to advertise I guess in classified section here. Let me know if anyone interested or advice šŸ˜Š
