Lucky you. I'm trying to attract the birds to my garden.

Lots of lovely bees around at the moment here, apparently you're better not to mow the grass so much.
Our gardens are lovely little eco systems if we aren't too fussy.

Males are much prettier...

As in this photo... Female on the right and a (As usual..) Male on the left...

1. Squirrels stealing the tits nuts and digging in the plant pots

2. Pigeons scaring away the tits, trying to knock the bird feeder over, getting randy on the lawn and crapping all over the place when I go out to scare them away.

Can you see it?

A tawny owl?

Rat, mouse, tomcat, dog, sparrow, pigeon, blackbird, seagull, another dog oh, and a silverback gorilla. I'm not 100% sure about the last one to be fair so best not count it just in case.

am so lucky here in kent, before lockdown/shielding could go see and spend hours just watching a silverback gorilla and family every day of the week if i wanted, love 'em, they totally fascinate me.. :)
will be sad but happy for them when the day comes that they are returned to the land their ancestors were taken from and there are no more here in this country..

I take it that you are quite close to Howletts.

We often store our MH on a farm in Ickham when we fly back to Poland and we have good friends in the village.

So where are you? PM me if not wanting to go public with the answer.

Geoff.

Tawny Owl?, bit like spot the ball. Make a good jigsaw puzzle.

yes, not too far away from howletts, in a little village just on the outskirts of faversham, so just a quick blast down the a2, 20 mins or so and i'm sat with those gentle gorgeous creatures that are so like us in expressions and mannerisms, have spent literally hours and hours and hours over the years with 'em, one of my favourite places to be..
on my bucket list years ago was to go see the mountain gorillas but then disability got in the way and scuppered that plan so howletts with the lowlands is the best it can be for me..

:(. Why am I suddenly struggling to open some videos? Can't open in you tube either.

Really want to watch Toni's video.

Can you give us a clue please
OK its a sh*t photo due to distance.

Look at the three roofs and slightly right of that just above the bush line.

I'm told that a local has some great photos of the owl. If i can find them and allowed i will post as its a magnificent thing to see in flight

The gorilla video brought back a memory for me when I was able (before insurance issues made it impossible) to give my wife a "Keeper for a Day" birthday present at out local zoo. The zoo had a very impressive male mountain gorilla called Pertinax and my wife had the rare privilege of feeding him in his private quarters away from the general public. The keeper warned my wife that Pertinax would play a trick on her while she was feeding the animal grapes, but did not tell her what this would entail. Pertinax loved grapes and my wife spent several minutes passing them to him through the bars when he suddenly charged towards her making a loud noise and banging the bars. Naturally my wife jumped back somewhat alarmed but then Pertinax, having had his fun, started passing grapes back through the bars to my wife as if to say sorry. It was a rather emotional moment and one we will never forget.
