Been to Almafra several times but this year we have our daughters dog with us. Are there walks near the site and can we walk into Benidorm, Albier etc avoiding the main road. Thanks.

I reckon a dog walk to Albir or Benidorm from Almafra avoiding main roads is impossible.

You may cross main roads, but go along to the railway path, that's ok, and the roads are not as bad as people think,

Bill is correct, we've walked from Villasol to Albir through the lanes passing Almafra on the way just crossing the main roads. If you can look on Google earth you will see the lanes. There's a back lane walk to Albir from Almafra, left out of Almafra to the new island and go right at the new island down the residential road, not the CV763. Just keep to the right on that road to get to Albir. There's an underpass to take you under the N332 at Albir and on to the town. It's the route the cyclists use. There's some rough ground on the way for your dog to have a run. The walk to Benidorm is a little more complicated but if you can read Google maps is doable, certainly to the market by Villasol. Good luck and hope you enjoy your trip.

Its not,,,,,Well you have to use a bit of main road on the last bit down the cycle track into Benidorm,,Into Almafra its all lanes until LIDL,,BUSBY,,

It is a matter of perception.
From Lidl Albir it is main road to the sea ( no dogs )or back roads avoiding the town ( or down the no dogs rambla)
And to Benidorm 3km down a cycle path next to the main road.

You can walk down the railway line from Almafra to Albir.
Trains are once an hour in either direction.
If you time it right you won’t ‘encounter’ a train

Thanks, We found a bit of scrubland over the road. Ideal for frisbee play. Hired a car now to get to the beach.
