It wouldn't surprise me if it's a standard bleed valve off any domestic central heating system. In France most threaded building products are BSP so would likely fit, not sure about Spain though.

i’m not sure it’s threaded as it goes into a rubber pipe 👍

It’s not threaded but will have a very strong spring clamp round it.

Might be an option then? The point I am trying to make is that a suitable auto bleed valve might be available from a large Brico type warehouse/plumbers merchant etc.
Just remove the old one and take it with you. Once the system has drained down past the level of the auto air vent then it shouldn't leak into the van any more. Use the drain valve stopper under the van to drain down.

Filling it up might be a pig, but just take your time, let gravity and science do it's job. Try to operate the air vents/bleed valves that are in the system to speed the process.

The problem I have is i’m in Spain with no heating and the van is still under warranty so i’m reluctant to mess about with it as I don’t want to void the warranty 🤔

Bit of a bugger that, that’s the second air vent I’ve read about this week, see what dealer says.
There must be a alde dealer near you but they may not want to do the warranty work.

Looking at it another way and depending where your boiler is if you could find some hose the same size and run it up to a place higher than the header tank,or just clamp the hose as a temporary measure?

any garage or engineering works will probably have a bolt of similar diameter that you can replace the leaking valve with to get you through till you get home. just simply plug the hole it leaves when removed

do you have a link to that particular valve as i’m struggling to find it
Link

thats from alde main website.if the dealer does offer much help i would contact the alde support see what they say.
as a last resort i would swap it myself, you cannot be without heating/hotwater.

Leave the valve in place and put a jubilee clip around the black tube outlet pipe were it attaches to the valve cut pipe about 25mm long insert a bug in the cut end and jubilee clip that end, that way there will be no mess removing the valve.
