It's just lovely up in the mountains.
Annecy was too busy, crowded and hot although the lake is very photogenic.
Up here it is peaceful, the sun is still hot but the air fresher.

I always thought French pitches where a little on the small side but not this one on l'orangerie de Lanniron in Quimper . This is all ours for three days and comes with the garden furniture and fridge and BBQ ,happy days but the roof of the van sounded like it took a battering from the over hanging branches

We are at Camping Les 4 Saisons at Gresse-en-Vercors, €17 with ACSI.
There is also an Aire just up the road but it is only a car park and no facilities.
The site is very quiet, only about 6 couples here, but has lovely views.
Nothing in the area apart from very good walking if you are that way inclined. Also, make sure you stock up before climbing up here as there is only one very small shop in the village/hamlet.
If you like peace and quiet it is a lovely, lovely spot.

This is a few days old now but internet has been intermittent. 3 guys on their way back from a Lambretta rally in Northern Italy having a rest at the top of the Simplon Pass.
