Hi I will be coming of the boat at santander 14th January travelling down to alicante where I intend to stop on a site in aspe. I intend to do a lot of cycling and exploring the area. Just wondering if anyone wants to join me plus open to any other suggestions. Kev

@Kjack what port ate you sailing from?

Just checking prices just now for mine and its around £500 from Portsmouth for my van

Prices tend to go up as a particular sailing gets busy, paid £475 for our sailing on October 1 for the van and car trailer, already booked for October 2018 and that came out at £445.

As mentioned on the other tread you can only cheapen it by booking early, using a discount code or booking the economie crossing. Personally we only book the Pont Aven as as far as I am concerned the bigger the better.

Kjack, i'm interested in joining up with you for this. Have never taken a mo ho abroad myself. Will have to work out some costings!! I think Portsmouth is best rather than the tunnel, especially if can get a discount code. Have just realised we close together too.
Northernraider be good to know what ferry cost is with & without code? Although i think your mo ho is lots larger than mine so may cost you more. Will watch this thread with interest.

Someone will always give you a code as I believe that they get £10 everytime someone uses it, will save around £40 on a one way crossing.

For 13 Jan I can only see two crossing the 0845 which is the economie and then a 1700 which isn't

I'd be inclined to not use the economie as a few folk have said vehicles on deck etc and a rougher crossing, I'd rather not start my trip with issues

Just had a look and there is only one sailing on the 13 Jan which is the economy one, the Cap Finistre is the next day.

The one I selected departs on the Friday evening at 1700 so I'd land Saturday 13th at 17.30

Don't know where you are heading for but if it's Bilbao where you land then you can park up at the docks overnight ready for a early start the next morning.

That time of it will be dark when you land and , as far as I know you cannot stay on the port. You may know of rhe aire where people park up near the elephant's but if you don't you could find it doing a search on the forum.
If you are heading South you could get to the campsite at Burgos in a couple of hours.

With a discount code mine came in at £453 all in with cabin that's for a 9 metre by 4 metre van Portsmouth to santander departing Friday 12 January

Its my birthday on the Friday so not sure daughters will be happy me going then but will be looking at times/days just after that. I have been passed a code also, how kind people are on here.
