A number of guys quite took to him, and enjoyed his postings

Look at the number of enquiries as to his whereabouts since he has been banned .......

I had a late family member who would specifically go out of his way to wind people up; waiting for a confrontation, as it entertained him.

I think our 596 followed the same path.

At times, verging on humorous, most of the times a pain in the a***.
 
I cant remember the comedian but one of his punch lines was...."You couldn't let it lye...could ya"

I found most of his post purely argumentative and lacking in basic debating skills with mainly obviously trying to shock or insult people, and well many of us (even me) sometimes stray into this area because we care about the subject being debated a little too much not many do it purely for affect(y)
 
I’m afraid he really brought out the worst in me, pressed all my buttons. Now that he is gone I can try to laugh at myself and see why, he was like an old colleague. He would ask a question but really had no interest in any of our answers, it was only asked as a way to then display what he perceived to be his superior knowledge, wealth etc.

Don’t like seeing that side of myself I would have to say.

I know a guy who likes to wind people up, trouble is he does it to everyone including his wife and when she starts To say something he just tells Her to shut up!
He used to wind our dog up to the point where she would growl at him, we all told him to stop as she was warning him but he never listened! Luckily she was too soft to bite him!

An honest posting that is true of me and probably a lot of others on here. Human nature isn't always easy to control.
 
I found both 596 and Brambles an irritation, especially how they seemed to hijack the forum with often 5 topics each on the first page alone, for me the forum is better without these sat at home wind up merchants.

That said, Jim was quite defensive of both at the time saying he had met 596 and he was a nice chap. Anyone that suggested Wild Brambles was in fact a wind up and an alias for 596 was threatened with Coventry, yet ultimately they both appear to have received indefinate bans without reason?

For the sake of closing the box, it would be interesting to know what happened and why they are no longer here Jim?
 
A long time ago, one of my longitudinal studies was “ the attention seeking child and his effect on his peers” ( he and his are used but may also refer to she and her)
I observed ( at the time) that all the children I found to be attention seeking were indeed boys.

The attention seeking child will do anything for attention and doesn’t value or consider the type of attention given. It can be positive or negative, to the child the satisfaction is transient and he/she feels compelled to move on to another bout of attention seeking behaviour. I often felt that were I to spit on the attention seeking child, ( of course I wouldn’t) he would simply see that as rewarding his behaviour and carry on.
These behaviours can be shouting over other children who are trying to give their answers or views, constantly antagonising other children either verbally or physically ( poking, kicking, tapping are examples)
The attention seeking child frequently tries to start new topics of conversation about his own views, playground games are usually of his choice, following his rules.
The affect on peers was to cause friction between them, upset children who feel they are ignored and a general air of discontent was felt in the classroom and even the playground. Occasionally other children would behave out of character by retaliating verbally and/or physically and when asked why the response was usually “ because he made me mad ( meaning angry)
Remind you of any adults you may have met ?

I never threatened anyone with coventry for suggesting one was the other, just pointed out they were not the same person....or me .... Over and over again :doh:

I was no more defensive over 596 than I would be over any other member who people were being rude to, some people just couldn't respond to him without being personal. Biting the baited hook EVERY time. People who should know better.

Wild Brambles is not and never has been banned, he just chooses not to log in, he could be dead, he could have lost interest, I have no idea.

596 was banned for trolling.
