Heard today the club will not be at the NEC in October and next February. May also have been job cuts.

Camping and Caravanning Club.
It hasn't even got a "The" in the name
Agreed. The NEC overall cost must be huge with transporting their "set", staff time , handouts, refreshments and of course the NEC stand fee. I'm surprised they haven't left earlier. You have to smile at a club leaving due to NEC "pitch" fees when they're often derided for high campsite fees.I think their finances have improved, but we’re not so good. They are trying not to increase pitch prices next year, I believe, and no doubt hoping to pinch punters from the CAMC. As for the shows, the cost must be enormous and that is only offset by people joining. Otherwise it’s just that public profile. I believe they are also involved with towing trials at the shows, so don’t know what happens to that.
The CCC site at Winchcombe is nice and much cheaper, I was there for three weeks earlier this year.Saying that we're going to the CAMC site at Tewkesbury for 2 nights this week and was shocked at the price £92Only going as we love the town and we're meeting friends there.
There's a nice little cs near Winchcombe called Red Barn Farm no facilities only peace and nature £7 per night. The CCC site at Winchcombe is nice and much cheaper, I was there for three weeks earlier this year.
