Great, thanks for that. I shall look further into it.You're pretty much wrong on all your assumptions, they are far.. far Superior to Britstops (which are just pub car parks)
That's brilliant. Thank you for that reply and the link. I shall give it a go.I would recommend you join if you are planning to visit France. Originally you got a card either by post or from a machine at the site entrance. They now appear to have dropped issuing new cards and it is now all done online although cards still work (for the moment) for those of us who have them.
With the new system you arrive at an aire and their app gives you a code to use to enter.
This is their website, you may have to deposit €20 or so in your account but you can use this later to stay at aires.

Get a secondhand smart phone, you don't need a contract or sim card if you have wifi in your van, just think of it as a little computerI cannot connect onto CCP, because they do not have an App for a desktop/laptop,and I do not have a smartphone. Short-sighted, because I am not going to buy a smartphone and have a contract to please them, if they want my business.
What is the smallest CCP, in terms of numbers of units they can accommodate? I ask, because I assume that they will not invest in facilities for smaller aires, which may be the saviour of the smaller ones.
In Spain they are sensible prices, only 5 or 6 Euro.A quick look at their map and there appear to be 6 in Spain and 3 in Portugal.
They go in one right behind another so they only pay for one van.The CCP aires allows the French motorhomers to have a lie in now - no more early morning moving before the man comes round to collect the fee.
Only for marketing but I use it to log into my account.I am unable to add my email address to my newly set up CCP account (box is greyed out). I've called them twice and got cut off. Also tried their contact forms and emailed them. No response.
Not keen on loading funds into account until my details are amended. Is it essential they have my email address, do they communicate with you via email?

I would guess the cost of developing and maintaining a PC and/or Mac based version would far outweigh the financial benefit from what must be a small number of non-smartphone users.I cannot connect onto CCP, because they do not have an App for a desktop/laptop,and I do not have a smartphone. Pretty standard most places, Italy often only 3 amp.TBH its only 6a so not much use
They do have the advantage you get 24 hours for your money, a campsite will cost you 2 days fees for 24 hours.I downloaded the app earlier and had a quick look at them. I'm surprised how expensive they are, I'll probably go with an ACSI site![]()
Evreux CCP only accommodates 6I cannot connect onto CCP, because they do not have an App for a desktop/laptop,and I do not have a smartphone. Short-sighted, because I am not going to buy a smartphone and have a contract to please them, if they want my business.

According to their website there are 6 in spain and only one of them charges more than 6 eurosThere are lots in Spain now too, or did you mean Morocco![]()
I would recommend the CCP aire at Lavos in Portugal right on the beach. When I was there in February there were 4 vans in a large area. The aire at Puebla de Sanabria doesn't have hook ups: in a decent spot by the river and very cheap. I love the fact you can see availability on the app and it's so easy to pay the very reasonable prices. I wish we had them in the UK.A quick look at their map and there appear to be 6 in Spain and 3 in Portugal.
It is a bit odd they have made it app only and you can longer use a Web browser. But MHs without smartphones are increasingly rare. You may have to buy one - LeClerc do plans from around €4 a month and you can (I think) pause it for the months you don't need it.I cannot connect onto CCP, because they do not have an App for a desktop/laptop,and I do not have a smartphone. That's weird. My email address is also greyed out but the field does contain my correct email address. I'm surprised it allowed you to create an account without an email address but it might be a bug and it has now created an account with a blank email field.I am unable to add my email address to my newly set up CCP account (box is greyed out). Thanks. I'll try to create another account. It gave me the choice of entering either my email or mobile number when creating it, and I entered my mobile number. In hindsight would probably have been better using my email. That's weird. My email address is also greyed out but the field does contain my correct email address. If this is the case I would just create a new account because if you add your email address it won't show as a duplicate as the "other" account has no email address.
CCP seem to average about 15 euros for 24 hours, I doubt you'll find an ACSI site for that.I downloaded the app earlier and had a quick look at them. I'm surprised how expensive they are, I'll probably go with an ACSI site![]()
2025 ACSI prices are from 13 to 27 euros . Best feature of CCP is the book ahead system and the real-time availability.I downloaded the app earlier and had a quick look at them. I'm surprised how expensive they are, I'll probably go with an ACSI site![]()

you can I've just looked on their webpage , you can look on the interactive map click on a site for the information and book a siteI didn't realise they didn't have a functioning website. They used to. I see they have a website now but you cannot do anything on it.
I guess its the way IT is going though. A number of my banks are phone app only. You cannot download BBC iplayer stuff on a computer anymore - nor Channel 4.
If you don't get a phone or tablet you won't be able to do anything web based soon!!
Why don't you want a smart phone. You don't have to use it as a phone - just as a small computer. Alternatively get a tablet. Some are almost computer size now.

I can't understand why everyone doesn't have a smart phone, everything you do now needs one and you can get one for around £100 or less, even if you say you don't need a mobile phone, these are so much more, you don't need a computer for everyday stuff if you have one, personally I have had computers, laptops and tablets, but now I do everything on a phone, never have to use anything else.I didn't realise they didn't have a functioning website.
