As per title we are heading South looking for some Sun, well I think we are as we are at Marboue in France and have just had a phone call from Jen’s brother, her Mum has been broken into, dragged out of bed and knocked about including a kicking while on the floor, that’s what real hard men do to 85 year old apparently, watch this space as we might be turning around?

Thanks everyone, she is OK although black and blue apparently and her son is there now BUT that is as much as we know so far, they can only find one set of car keys so the car is blocked in on the drive at the moment.

Will she want to stay in the house? Don’t know.

Really sorry to hear about this dreadful robbery and attack on Jen's mum. There are some evil people around and we just hope that she's ok although I'm sure her confidence will have been shattered, bless her.
 
Very sorry to hear about the old lady, it happened to an old auntie of mine and it didn't turn out well for the guy who did it as my younger brother found out who had done it and I don't think the youth would ever do it again .

I hope that the bastards that did it contract a serious disease that leaves them crippled, blinded and in real pain for the rest of their lives, and that they live an awful long time.

It really saddens me to hear this I hope Jens mum is ok, if she feels the need to go back maybe a quick flight would be an idea.

What utter cowards! To hurt an old lady is despicable. I hope the police catch them and that they're put away for a long time.
 
Sickening. I can’t imagine what is in the minds of such morons.
I do believe in “an eye for an eye”, but nowadays the punishments don’t meet the crimes.

What a horrible and unexpected shock this must have been for you all, and a terrible ordeal for ‘mum’.

Hope she makes a quick recovery and manages to return home.

Will she want to be home, will we want her at home? We went though all this when Jens dad died and she wanted to stay in the house so we got the stairlift in:LOL:

So very sorry for Jen's mum :madder:- and you both - it must be very difficult to know what to do for the best.
 
Shitholes they are Martin, hope she makes a full recovery and then lots of decisions to made where she lives I think.
I moved my late mam in with me in 1999 when she had been broken into TWICE in Pontefract. I finished up sleeping at her house with a poker in my hand, but they never come when you want them to. They seem to be able to handle weak, old elderly women with osteoporosis and a walking frame. Words cannot describe filth like this.
 
Oh Martin and Jen what a terrible thing to happen .there are no words to describe these scumbags.We really hope Jens mother fully gets better.Im stuck for any further words that could be printed on here.
