No particular plans just heading south, thinking about the Canal du Midi then either turn right to Spain or left to the Carmague.
Only a short trip have to be back home 1st week of June.

As the ferry gets in at 21:30 looks like we will be spending the night on the Dieppe Aire, not my favorite place since they whacked the price up to a wopping 12 Euro and you get illegals knocking on the door asking for money.

As @DBK said ferry empty loads of lorries, apart from lorry drivers only about 6 other people on the boat.

To cap it all a tooth has started playing up, last trip a German dentist relived my wallet of loads of money. Looks like a French dentist may get the honour this time.

''Only a short trip we have to be back in the 1st week of June''

Its only the 9th of bleeding May, just shows you how the other half lives, we both work full time, get 5 weeks a holiday a year, 3 weeks holiday in one go would be paradise.

Only jealous Lenny. Have a great trip.

Paul.

A quiet night at Dieppe not a sign of any illegals this time.
Better get the food porn out of the way for Robert & Peter.
Lunch courtesy of Lidl.

As loads of Funsters have said how nice La Mailleraye sur Seine is we decided to have a lazy and give it a try. Yes very nice but no one mentioned the sewage works!
A very pleasant stopover and the sewage is not smelling today and we are far enough away anyway.

Don't worry about the sewage works, we've never noticed any whiffs when we've been to La Mailleraye, but as Alan works for Southern Water it's like home to him

We love La Mailleraye and go there a lot.
Never smelt the slightest whiff from the sewage works. A bit of 'whooshing' from the pumps if you are parked on the hard standing alongside but if you are further away you don't notice it.

Richard.

we really must go to La Mailleraye closer to summer, every time we have been you wouldn't dare even put a wheel on the grass, never mind park on it :)

we always park first bay up to the wall, too far from sewage works to hear or smell, but I have mentioned it a couple of times, always amazes me those that park right next to the hedge

thanks for writing your trip up, always looking for new places ourselves, we did use a free aire near Dunkirk a couple of years ago, in the dunes, can't recall the name now but will try and look it up (y)

Up near the entrance very nice may stop another night. The Seine is very quiet these days 20 years ago barges going up the river all night. Tonight 10:30pm not seen a boat for 4 hours.
Spoke too soon barge went by while typing.:D

Have a good trip, presumably the first shake down for your new MH?
Of course an option to reduce future dental bills would be to have them all pulled out. All the pain in one go that way. :)

I love the bub bub bub noise as they go by at night while we are in bed :)(y)

those that have been will know the noise, the rest of you can now just have a laugh at my expense :):)

Yes first trip apart from one night last week.

Not funny:)
Kept me awake Tuesday night but since them it's been fine, fingers crossed.

I understand why, so you can't hear all the bits breaking and falling of your van.:ROFLMAO:

Lenny,
Need to pickup dental repair kit or replace set of teeth

i hope your not there when we go next time, as that's our spot ;)

The barges and ships all lurk around the corner during the day and then come past in a constant stream just after you nod off at night. :D
They do it on purpose you know. (y):whistle:

Assume you are normally NHS? Being private and having had to get 2 crowns replaced in France in the past I have found them much cheaper than the UK, and with more up to date kit. So make it part of the trip, and report with pictures a la @Robert Clark foody stuff, "guess the bill for this root canal?"

Did them boats have cars on the decks?
Thought it strange that when we went to the Caravan Salon in Dusseldorf last year we spent the day in the town then walked back along the river to the Tulip hotel we stayed at and all the large boats had Mercs, Audis and VW's on the deck.
Could not work out why?

Moved a bit further south on a free Aire with free servicing at Change near Laval, west of Me Mans. Nice setting beside a small lake.
Spending tomorrow night with a couple of funsters we met in Spain last year they have a smal farm nearby.

One day you will remember to turn the bl**dy stereo off. Now if you had taken my advice and rewired it to the leisure batteries :D2
