As a change from our usual bottle of wine,I bought some bottled beers from ASDA (good prices,Speckled Hen £1) I bought an assortmwnet and my favourite with the Sunday roast was Holts Manchester ale. Quite dark and similar to Old Peculiar. 4 for a fiver.

After a spectacular piece of fillet steak on Saturday I had, a Wells Banana Bread beer, and very nice it was too. I've had one before and it really is spot on after dinner, any more than one I suspect I'd go of it:thumb:

Recently had a Wopa,marie Celeste,Village idiot. Tonight also sampled Titanic and yes i did crack the joke and Bear Island. All worth trying!

This wekend I be mostly drinking Trois Monts a Belgian which has kick like a mule. It comes in litre bottles and is stoppered with a wired cork,like Chamoagne, you can't drink 2, it takes me all my time to drink 1! My Belgian cousin is visiting and brought some over for me-just wait till I get him on the Wobbly Bob!!:thumb::thumb:

Tried a new one this week called TOP TOTTY a new beer or a least i think so from a small brewery in stafford, 4.1% very pleasent:thumb:.

Only had the Rochefort 6, and I had to go to Belgium for that.
