I have just purchased a XGODY 718 chinese satnav. On receipt initial impression was that the hardware is better than my old one. However the good news ends here.
Looking to see what the date of the maps was (2015q1) I noticed that there are no truck files for the maps thus rendering the unit useless for large vehicles. As a test I set it up as a 40ton lorry and it let me drive over an 18ton limit bridge without any warning. My old unit with the truck files warned me several times.
I have written to the supplier and manufacturer and await an answer.
I suggest that anyone who has bought an XGODY 718 or 704 check that the ftr files are there if they have not already done so. The files should be in the primo/content/map there should be an ftr and fbl file for each country.
I will post again when I get a response from my enquires.
