HI, I am looking for a wireless reversing camera that displays through the rear view mirror (although there are no windows in the rear to use the mirror, its still useful for looking back inside the van)

Can anyone recommend a good set up please? I have been looking at ebay and there are literally hundreds to choose from !

Have a look at this website, the guy knows his stuff and gives good advice.

Tried a wireless camera last year. Bloody useless and now binned.
Kept losing connectivity and picture quality was a joke.

As wiljoy says, I have told by experts (Roadpro) that winless is a nono - too much interference.

I used the dual camera system RDS12 from DRW Electronics, this is a wired system which has worked very well for around 4 years, the monitor clips over the existing rear view mirror.
Mine is wired up to the leisure battery so I can use it all the time.

We'd always used a wired system as wireless seem to have issues as mentioned by others. We had a monitor that clipped over the mirror and a small camera, we used it for years and it worked a treat and was cheap. The only reason we don't have it now is because we changed vehicles and our new one had a built in system already.

You can see what our set-up was like about half way down this page:

My recommendation like others is don’t buy one ?
hard wire every time

Got one from parking cameras.com.
fits around the numberplate so o e hole in the plastic rear bummper, no holes in the rear wall.

Just one cable fed back under the van to a gas pipe entrance fir cooker then through the various units before hiding around the door and dash trims, to the dash /mirror monitor that takes video (and sound!) signal from camera and provides electric for the camera.

Gets power from either a live wire in the dash area or as I did ordered with plug for 12 volt feed from the ciggi lighter.

Took about half a day to fit in good weather.
