I am doing similar in my new van to my last but the wiring etc in this one is much better. I must say reading through the Rapido manual, it tells you that they are "future proofing" the vans for lithium etc with bigger 16mm wires etc which is a plus after owning the previous van.

I want to add my inverter (auto switchover) so it runs the sockets, and possibly fridge and remember to knock the fridge off if needs be or add a timer as advised in the other posts..
I am thinking of just adding it before the main unit and cbe unit .

does anyone see anything wrong with my workings here at all.

Not 100% sure what you are doing here. But if there is anyway through errors for both to be on at the same time then I would strongly recommend NOT doing it that way.

Either use a proper changeover switch with a break before make middle option (being totally off). Or use an inverter with built in charger and feed the EHU into this, then the output of this to your existing distribution panel.

Hope that makes sense?

Thanks

Well initially I was just going to run some sockets from it alone from the output, but having looked around i thought it was possible to just put it straight in
so the inverter auto change over would switch off and on if AC was detected
Oh I must mention I have disabled the on board charger, as its not good for my lithiums, I have a manual Victorn Orion if that makes any difference

Here's our manual arrangement so I can choose what we're using. Usually I just switch to EHU for the hair dryer.

Another recent modification I did was wire the battery charger to the incoming EHU supply via a fused spur so the inverter can never power it đź‘Ś

oh hang on, I think I see now, the socket to power the inverter that I plug into will think its powered wont it (by itself in theory?)

so like this maybe ? probably best just taking it to Rhino Installs tbf
