Hi Everybody

Now here is a quick question I’m sure one or more of you good people have had to acquire; on the habitation door there is wires coming from the chassis through to the internal of the habitation door.

The rubber concertina covering which is supposed to protect the wires is damaged and in bits and I want to replace it with a new shroud.

I’ve typed all sorts into Google to try and find such rubber coverings for habitation door but come up with nothing.

Does anyone know exactly what this rubber shroud that protects the wires is actually called, and where to acquire such an item?

Thanks Richard that is what I like nice and easy (y)

You do realise to fit the bellow type you will have to strip out your door loom and remove and refit any plugs inside the door to feed cables through.
Dont fancy that, look for split or spiral cable protector.
Both can be fitted without dismantling.spiral would be my choice.

Hi in the Bike world they are called Gators, but the best option would be split copex

the few I have repaired, I used split conduit to protect the repaired wire taped at each end to prevent it slipping or chafing the wire

Or you could cut the two wires, fit the new gator and solder them back together as the gator concertinas up so you can do that. Worked for me! Put the joins in the section the runs straight, near the door end.
