I think the usual recommendation is talc if you use anything sticky it encourages dirt and grit to stick on the window

I have Son Of A Gun I used to use it for the elastic on Fishing Poles but can no longer use a pole but it's brilliant stuff for easing things
Get used on Window rubber
Door catches that hold doors open a little spray and they clip in so much easier

just have to remember it is water soluble

I use Gummi Pflege which is formulated for the job, get the one with a sponge applicator as the solid ones (like lipstick) are a pain to apply.

I use silicon spray too, however the root cause is that there is a tiny line of dried rubber on the inside of the acrylic which has come from the rubber windows seal. This seems very difficult to remove, and I don’t want to use anything too abrasive.

Any thought?

Thanks...Keith_in_Calpe

Autoglym vinyl and rubber care, have used it for years works a treat .Apply with a sponge and lasts all season.
Non sticky and the seals look better than new.

I used Halfords Silicon Spray at the weekend on a side lounge window that developed a squeak whilst on the move.
I also took the opportunity to do all the outside locker door locks & catches, they work a lot better now.
I will try and get some clear silicon grease also, as it may last longer for the door locks & catches as being thicker it should repel any water.
I was advised to use un-perfumed body powder, apposed to Talc, as the perfume in talc can be detrimental to the rubbers....well you learn summit new every day your one here eh?:D
