WiFi in France (1 Viewer)

Now I suppose most of you know this, but with having unlimited data it's never occurred to me to try this before, but on the last three Aires we have been on, there seems to be some sort of national WiFi that you can connect your smart phone to, I am on it now, radio and phone all working off it, you just click on your internet tab and it comes up just log in, no need for password or anything,it just works.

Hasn't anyone got any interest in this, as everyone has been going on about having your data capped,it would seem you don't need any in towns.

Here's a screenshot of my phone, notice full WiFi, no password or anything just put your details in.

Maybe it local to the towns you are in, could you post a screen shot of the log in page where you are asked your details that may give more info.

it seems like a good find and as you say when the data caps hit people (mostly when current contracts end) then we will all be desperate for free wifi

Most towns have free WiFi, usually around the tourist office. Used it tons in lockdown when on a 20Gb Giffgaff PAYG.

Yeah we are on CCP at the moment, but the last two wernt but I have just hit a snag, I am trying to connect my other phone and not having much luck ,it says connected but not working, needs looking into a bit more.

I think most CCP give internet, part of the deal with them.

Yes tinternet is included in the overnight fee on CCP aires.

We're in Dieppe on an aire, no WiFi showing for me.

We have been on a couple of CCP aires using WiFi.
