Why does the ‘Show only:unread’ filter keep applying itself…..?

…..whenever I look at a ‘What’s New’ thread, the filter is applied next time I go to ‘What’s New’?
Is it designed to do this when the forum has been viewed, or what?

I used to look at the forum by using the What's New to see new posts. Now I get Latest Profile Posts is it just me or has something changed?

I had this problem , no idea why it suddenly appeared. On the rhs there is a ‘filters’ box , I clicked and could change my preferences and save it.

I have no idea why it had ticked ‘show only unread’
