looking for a campsite which is in walking distance from Whitby please ?

Couple of miles at most north west of town centre on the A171.

I believe the funsters use this site during the goth meets

Some more on the east cliff behind the abbey ruins but dont know the names.
Best accessed from the whitby side of Hawsker along the lane opposite the old rail station which has a couple of rail carriages as a cafe.
there is access (foot and vehicle) to the harbour from the abbey
