Hi all :)

To save this thread getting miles long, please only answer if you do actually carry a vaccuum cleaner with you :) I know many of you won't, for all sorts of reasons, so I'm just looking for replies from those who do :)

I'm looking for a smallish but powerful vaccuum, with tools for all the crevices. Mains and/or 12v, as long as it does the job. Thank you :)

Ann likes it, personally I wouldn't bother with the room it takes up šŸ™„

On and off for many years.
One that someone threw out - works great and fits the valves on our inflatable kayaks so we can deflate them completely :)

Our cassette locker is deep (cassette right at the back) so I have two baskets of cleaning stuff in there with the vac body on top and the pipes alongside. The tools are in one of the baskets.

We have one too, very good. Stows neatly in the wardrobe with its wall bracket. Charges OK on a small inverter but lasts a long time on battery.

Eight Years and 28,000 Miles.
A small lightweight 12v item, wouldn't do a house but OK for when we are away.

Ever since lighting was by Calor gas.
I was given a 12v B & Decker one about 6 years ago and used it once. As it was a gift I can't leave it behind so it just takes up locker space now as I use a hand brush which is far more convenient, less of a faff to set up and use and has never gone wrong, run out of charge or needed emptying.

Another vote for the 18v Black & Decker (pictured above), folds up and takes up very little space and is very powerful, we have tried other car type vacuums (including the 12v B&D which is sat in a box in the shed) but this is definitely the 'preferred weapon of choice' for us.

Dyson, the one we use in the house. Had a competition against mothers gtech. No contest, not even close. I didnā€™t even need the turbo button.
We can recharge the Dyson in the van via the 12v.

Since 1964 Gosh that makes me feel old.
Shark rechargeable, its brilliant as one of our collies casts non stop.
Wouldn't give a Dyson house room, the one we did have was the animal model & the Shark kicked it into the weeds.
Its the same as this one below.
