OK following on from my thread yesterday, it looks like the internals of my TV aerial may have been damaged as it rolled around on the roof travelling down the M25. any recommendations for a new aerial or they all pretty much the same?
Thanks H

I went for the Supergain Ballade TV Antenna which seems very popular with the boating and canal living futurity.

helpfull thanks
I have had two different makes of omnidirectional aerials on our Motorhome and I wouldn’t recommend any of them unless you are in a very strong signal area.
I now carry a small portable sat dish which take me about 10 mins to set up.

We have one of these for when no satellite signal and works surprisingly well considering.

Thanks for the recommendations. i am going to try the Supergain ballade for starters and see how I get on with it. We tend to use the firestick thses day anyway.

Ballade Supergain fitted this morning and my inital impressions are - I may be changing it soon. It doesnt pick up all the channels the previous aerial did on the drive. Ill see how it performs over the next two trips away in Bristol and Dorset.

I've had a couple, nothing beats the August so far. Broken Link Removed

Make sure you turn on the 5v aerial feed on the TV.

That’s the one I have and it seems very good.
Will be fixing it on the roof soon as have it in a locker at present, still gets a good picture though😁😁
It's 2023 now and I was reading old posts for a new aerial, do you still own the aerial and does it work??

Still working and still in the locker😂😂 couldn’t bring myself to drill through the roof and as we mostly go into Europe with the van it hasn’t had any use for the last 12 months

I might invest in one (y)
If its the Ballard Supergain, i wouldn't bother. We end up using an Avtex portable most of the time as the Ballard one doesnt provide a decent enough signal. Looking at replacing with a directional one.
