It's easy enough.....I phoned the importer of my inverter to check fuse size , they told for my 1500w unit it was a 150amp fuse
so I’m assuming 500w would be 50amp but lennys sizes sounds good to me
Plus 15% for inverter inefficiency.It's easy enough.....
Watts ÷ volts = amps
500w ÷ 12v = 41.66a (at full load)
To prevent it blowing prematurely a 50a fuse will do but won't protect 6mm2 cables.
