What is this Spanish bird?

On the aire at Osuna, Andalusia, and this little chap (or girl?) has been digging out grubs from the grass beside our van. I’m sure that one of our knowledgeable birders will be able to tell me what it is. :)

Wow! That was quick! Thanks, all. Very informative. I’ve never seen one before and he was so striking. :). Pretty sure I saw an eagle yesterday, too.
 
There is a bird in the picture but folk may have missed the black hosepipe snake just in front of it. Very rare sighting. :)

If there is - it's a was - as Hoopoe's do like a bit of red meat in their diet. (y):D

Sorry, no hosepipe in the grass. Probably a bit of Spanish litter. ;)
