I know in my old age I am not the sharpest tool in the box,but I am totally confused about what documentation and tests I have to present at the the uk tunnel check in .Would anyone care to write down exactly what I need to show ,every time I think I have it sorted it seems to change. It used to be so easy passport credit card and ticket 😊. I will worry about coming back later . Many thanks

Just checked they have not confirmed the date for doing away with the green card. So if traveling in the near future you will need to get one.

Just when I think I have got it sorted I now read this section 2 fully vaccinated passengers. Now I have pcr test booked at a ridiculous price ,am I reading this right that I don’t now need one now . The rules seem to change every day ,does any one know do I or do I not need a pcr test ?

My understanding Howard is that you don’t need the test to leave the Uk. but do if you want to return. However as you quite rightly point out things change on a regular basis!!

If you are going to Shetland Northlink ferries no longer need proof of negative test, just saying 😜

As it stands right now, double vaccinated with nhs letter, printed or electronic proof QR code is all you need to cross into France. The PCR or antigen is required if you are not vaccinated. The green card is still needed, until EU publishes a date for doing away with it.

Just incase you weren’t aware some places in France require proof of your vaccination.

Only once have we been asked so far, but the rules are being pushed that more checks will be done.

We showed them our NHS certificates that we organised before travelling.

I had an email from AIB last week saying green cards no longer required by the EU.

The insurance companies are a bit like the gov travel rules ie changes by the day I spoke to safeguard insurance yesterday to renew my insurance and asked about the green card they said they are sending them out automatically with the renewal papers 🤷‍♂️ Probably will have changed again by the time you have read this 😂

Is the covid pass letter valid indefinitely? I only ask as when I downloaded my covid pass on the app the barcode seemed to be only valid for a month. I want to get the letter in case we do manage to get away late August.

Was informed by my insurers that green card will not be required as and from 1_8-2021.

I got a green card from my insurance company, got them to date it till the end of my years insurance and tick all countries. That way I’m covered. They then posted and emailed it over to me FOC
